Helen Mirren was offered a treatment of Botox to help her look her best for the Oscars. She turned it down because she is afraid of needles (and because she DOESN’T NEED IT).

‘I’m very vain, which initially made playing Elizabeth Windsor in all those tweeds pretty daunting,’ she said. ‘But I’m not fond of all those needles and scalpels. I’ll try to get away with make-up, jewelery and a nice frock.’ (source)

The most interesting part of this story is she admitted that those that attended the award show got a goodie bag filled with vouchers for cosmetic surgery procedures.WOW! That is some gift bag! I wonder who took them up on their offer…

We have to remember one thing – Hilary Duff is on stage performing. Does that excuse her gold pants? Or is it appropriate for the situation? Are gold pants every appropriate?

According to Sundance Head (and yes, as I write that name I say to myself…Sundance Head???) there is a male contestant on American Idol who thinks he already won the game! Reader question: My mother comes over twice a week to help me care for my daughter while I am on bed rest. She is OBSESSED with the show ‘What Not To Wear‘. So I now watch about 65 episodes a day. I like the show… but 65 episodes is too much for anyone to handle. One of the things they talked about yesterday during their marathon was wearing colored pumps with jeans. I am not a pump kinda gal. But I was curious how many of you wore pumps with non-suit outfits. My mom and I were going back and forth about it. Thoughts? Just curious.
