Someone Isn’t Impressed With Angelina Jolie
Posted on July 28, 2007 at 10:06 AM
Boy! How do you REALLY feel about Angelina Jolie? Screen historian Jeanine Basinger wrote “The Star Machine” and literally ripped Angie to shreds. Here are some excerpts from her writings.
“Fans don’t need to watch her films . . . Her roles are only pale imitations of her off-screen self,” continues Basinger, a professor at Wesleyan College. She then recites the sordid highlights of Jolie’s life:
“[She twice] married and divorced very young; publicly kissed her brother a little too hard; admitted to cutting herself; made vague references to drugs; dated a woman; expressed a yearning to be ‘taken down’ by a suitably dominant individual of either gender; declared a willingness to try bondage; wore a vial of second husband [Billy Bob] Thornton‘s blood (and divorced him amid allegations of his insatiable sex addiction);” and “announced that she satisfies her post-divorce sexual needs by having flings with men in motels.”
She also, the book recounts, “adopted a boy from Cambodia, a boy from Vietnam, and a girl from Ethiopia; allegedly delivered the death blow to Brad Pitt‘s staggering marriage to Jennifer Aniston; conceived Pitt’s child; [has] given birth; and in the middle of all this, found time to take a genuine and serious mission to the United Nations on behalf of the world’s children.”
Basinger says Jolie, back in the days of the Hollywood star system, “could have found steady work playing larger-than-life, even terrifying female characters. Today, she has become one herself . . . It is not a cultural accident that Jolie’s one serious, Oscar-winning role was that of a mental patient.”
Claire Danes At The MuchOnDemand In Toronto, Canada
Posted on July 28, 2007 at 9:45 AM
Claire Danes looked gorgeous when she appeared on MuchOnDemand in Canada. I can’t believe how far she’s come since her days on “My So Called Life“. I checked out IMDB and she has three movies that are ready to be released. Or have they been released? I’m living in a time warp over here.

David Beckham may have ditched the blonde. But he is still rocking his trademark scowl while waiting on line at a local coffee shop in LA. We need to get some West Coast stalkers set up in every Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf because it seems he frequents them on a daily basis. Let’s find this man!!![]()

Posted on July 28, 2007 at 9:30 AM
This isn’t gossip. But I have to say, this picture BLEW my mind. US authorities seized over $200 million in cash in Mexico! It was found behind walls of a mansion owned by a Chinese pharmaceutical tycoon.Someone is very, very angry right now.
The money, in $100 bill denominations, was found hidden behind walls and in cupboards of a luxurious mansion owned by a Chinese pharmaceutical tycoon accused of making millions by trading in massive quantities of a chemical used to manufacture addictive street drug, methamphetamine.

The film revolves around Park Hee-bong (played by Byun Hee-bong), a man in his late 60s. Park runs a small snack bar on the banks of the Seoul’s Han River and lives with his two sons, one daughter and one granddaughter. The Parks seem to lead a quite ordinary and peaceful life, or maybe a tad bit poorer than the average Seoulite. Hee-bong’s elder son Gang-du (by Song Gang-ho) is an immature and incompetent man in his 40s, whose wife left home long ago. Nam-il (by Park Hae-il) is the youngest son, an unemployed grumbler, and daughter Nam-joo (by Bae Du-na) is an archery medalist and member of the national team. One day, an unidentified mutant suddenly appears from the depths of the Han River and spreads panic and death, and Gang-du’s daughter Hyun-seo is carried off by the monster and disappears. All the family members are in a great agony as they have lost someone dearest to them. But as they find out she is still alive, they resolve to save her.\

Must- See PHOtos!

How exciting! Rumor is Naomi Watts has sealed the deal and is all set to play Draco’s mother, Narcissa Malfoy in the next Harry Potter film. She doesnt’ have to start working on Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince until September. So that should give Naomi enough time to hang out with her new little boyfriend, Alexander. I can’t wait to see what she does with this role. She is one of my favorite actresses.
