Olsen Twins Cause Problems For Their Neighbors

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen recently started renting a $12,000 a month apartment. $12,000!!!! I seriously do not understand why celebrities are always renting out really expensive places to live in, when they own gorgeous houses or apartments! Their new digs are in Greenwich Village. The place has 10 rooms, 3 bathrooms, and a terrace. But the community isn't happy about having new famous neighbors in their complex.
"Their SUVs are always getting in the way of our parking routine," said one resident. "You'd think the President was living here."
"They certainly keep late hours," kvetched another Villager.

i like these two,they're very nice and quiet girls, they're not fame whore like others,and i guess when you are not sure of living on that area or place you rather rent than purchasing it.
$12,000 a month in NY is practically a bargain now. Especially for 10 rooms. A crappy 3 bedroom in one of the trump rental buildings on the upper west side is minimum $10,000 a month so $12,000 for 10 rooms, in probably a cool building, is a steal.

i rent a small 1 br for 1950 in the east village if i had 9 other roomates id much rather spend 1200 on a 10 bd house in greenwich
I don't understand why bother renting...it seem such a waste of money. They have the money - why don't they own a condo or something, I mean at least you're actually making an investment.
ahah yeah it is probably a better investment just to buy one if youre going to be paying THAT much and depending on how long you'll be there for. But because they're super rich, they probably dont care to invest in real estate and make even more money.
Condos use to be good investments they've gone the way of CD's (Certificate of Deposit) and time-shares, worthless unless you find a sucker.
