Amy Winehouse Turns Down Million Dollar Book Deal

Amy Winehouse Turns Down Million Dollar Book Deal

This isn't the first time Amy Winehouse was offered a book deal. In fact, sources say she constantly turns them down one after the other. Why? Because Amy feels she is too young to write her life story. Makes sense I suppose. I'm just fearful about how long this soulful singer has left to live. She can't seem to shake her demons... no matter how much the people around her are rooting for her to do so.

"Amy’s been battling off book deals for over a year, but the latest offer would have earned her millions. But she thought the idea was ludicrous and turned it down outright. Firstly, she feels she’s far too young at 24 and secondly, when she does get round to publishing her life story, she wants to write it herself. She doesn’t need a ghost writer."

This next quote is from her Rolling Stones interview and is quite sad. Amy says she has nothing to live for.

"To be honest, my husband’s away, I’m bored, I’m young. I felt like there was nothing to live for. It’s just been a low ebb."

"I’ve never been to rehab, I mean, done it properly. I’m young, and I’m in love, and I get my nuts off sometimes. But it’s never been like, ‘Amy, get your life together.’"

Ms. Vera, it's obvious that the media are attempting to cash in on her life, for they too are afraid that she won't be around much longer. Competition is fierce!!! That interview from Rolling Stone was a knockout! I grew so tired of Winehouse's fans inundating other gossip sites. All they do is going on other sites and proclaim the media, aliens from Outer Space and haterz are making Amy do drugs. Winehouse is the engineer of her own destruction or the architect of her comeback. God has a way of stepping in and knocking sense into our mortal asses. She may be young, but what god does she worship that makes her hate herself so much? According to that article, clearly it was a sign of someone who is obviously mentally ill and deep in the throes of depression. IF there is any doubt, just look at the pictures above. Winehouse is still pretty, but the drugs have taken a toll on her body. She looks like she's at least in her 40s. The question is, now that Blake's sentencing is probably on July 10, what will happen next? Hey! Watch the ageism. I'm in my 40s and look a billion times better than her. The way she looks is not defined by age, but by the way she has abused her body through the drug and alcohol ridden lifestyle she has led. Her look is one of being very ill. Maybe if she can get off the self-destructive merry-go-round of addiction she's on, she may have a chance of leading a relatively normal life and regain some of her looks. She's talented and young, but possessed by so many "demons". As a fellow human being, one can only hope she can conquer them...

I am extremely shocked you would question "how long" this girl has to live. While she has her obvious problems, she is no different than anyone else. Who's life isn't in danger? The question of when our life will end is not up to us!

how our life will end is not up to us?wtf? um yeah it is, anyone can take there life if they want too, what a naive gullable thing to say.. wow

#1 Responder - NO god MAKES her hate herself! She is in the throws of addiction and addiction is a disease -not to be taken lightly!

Ahhhhhhh, yes, here comes the Kool-Aid Calvary!!!! If you lot knew anything about addiction, God or a "Higher Power" is VERY much part of recovery. As usual, there's denial, but I'll give you guys credit, maybe I've jumped the gun a bit. But, there seems to be convenient amnesia, remember how the Winoheads boasted during Winehouse's performance at the Grammys???? Note: I've said this once, I'll say it again, this is a gossip site. Please keep your fanaticism and zealousness at the 'official site'. Sometimes, you guys can be rather scary, LOL! why do they keep letting her out of the hospital, it is so confusing, her parents want to help, yet she is still a complete wreck... perhaps they should get her therapy and worry about a book another time, or are they afraid she won't make it another year, so suck out what she has left...this is such a sad thing to watch.

#8: That is the million dollar question. You and a few others have asked, why not therapy? That's a question only Winehouse can answer. I watched her on the YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Hu9OavX3jQ , and she came through with flying colors. She was tentative and a bit raspy, but once she got her rhythm, she lit up the show. I just want her to take this moment, savor it, and pull herself up. Keep your fingers crossed. Check out the http://www.dailystar.co.uk/ , it states that Winehouse is going to do her concerts June and July, then take a break until September. As a matter of fact, I DO know a lot about addiction since I have a child in recovery right now. My statement about a "god" not making her do something was right on target. I WAS NOT talking about God! I am very much aware that our Almighty God plays a huge part in recovery. He does not; however, cause the addiction. I was making reference to a false god (an idol) as quoted in the previous statement (either that or the responder had no idea that the Almighty is spelled with a capital "G".) This is a blog for goodness sakes - doubt there's a bunch of PHD's responding on here!

Seems like you're posting apples and oranges. What PuffnStuff says, is that she doesn't understand 'what god does she worship' makes her hate herself. I didn't find anything in that post that says, "God causes addiction'. Once again you Amy Winehouse nuts make mountains out of molehills, with your wacky posts.

Why does the blogger PuffnStuff end all of his/her posts with that ridiculous quote? S/he is certainly not adverse to shoving his/her view down the throats of others, candy-coated or not. This person accuses others who make reasonable comments of being fanatics and zealots re Ms Winehouse. S/he seems to know an awful lot about Ms Winehouse to be accusing others of being obsessive, to the point of even quoting links to other sites. Most people on here are just expressing concern over a young woman who seems consumed by her illness of addiction. If belief in God or a higher being helps some people with their recovery, well and good. However, this is obviously not going to be an answer for everyone. Whatever Amy's answer is, let's hope she finds it.

Seems the two previous posters must be fans of PuffnStuff! I think his/her posts seems to have touched a nerve or two. I think ya'll don't realize this is a gossip site, not a fan site. If you two would bother to look at the other Winehouse threads, you'd see other posts like PuffnStuff's. Certainly didn't seem like he/she was trying to change anyone's mind. Ya'll started it! So, leave him/her alone! Amy Winehouse messed herself up, not PuffnStuff, LOL!
Passerby (not verified)Passerby (not verified) said:
Who said PuffnStuff messed up Amy Winehouse? How could a reasonable person jump to such a ridiculous conclusion? Regardless of how Ms Winehouse became addicted to drugs, most bloggers feel compassion for her and hope she finds a path to recovery, whatever that is. If it involves God - fine. If not - fine. That's her business. As the first of the two bloggers you have chosen to criticize, I just wish Amy well as a fellow human being. While I think she has talent, I am no special fan. Sounds like we touched a nerve or two of yours!!!!!!!!!!!!! And in expressing your opinion so strongly, aren't you trying to push your views in the same way you accuse us of doing? PS What kind of English is "ya'll"? Now that's funny...LOL on you!
