Becoming a parent changes you. I started to wear my seat belt on a regular basis after I had my daughter because suddenly it wasn’t about me anymore. It was about her. I guess everyone goes through that awakening after having a child. Nicole Richie has reached a point in her life where she is able to reflect on her DUIs and regrets that behavior more than she ever imagined.

"We were watching the news once and they happened to be talking about drunk drivers. They started flashing up pictures of little children that had been killed by people driving under the influence.

"At that moment I literally felt like the worst person in the world for even trying to get out of that situation. That was our first real parent moment."

"There’s absolutely no way I will do anything like that again. I never took life seriously before. I’m in a completely different place now. I owe my baby my life. I have a responsibility now. I have to really be someone I want my child to look up to. I think it’s important for every child to look up to their parent. I want to show her the right path."

Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos and their three children enjoyed the afternoon walking their dog in SoHo yesterday. This has to be one of my favorite celebrity families and I’m glad things seem to be going so well for them.

Patrick Dempsey was looking handsome as usual while racing at the Rolex Grand-Am Series Brumos Porsche 250 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida yesterday. I have a soft spot for Patrick and the fact that he loves to race is just another reason why he’s sexy to me.

I am sad to say that Patrick has NOTHING in the works at the moment. I guess he will live off of his Made of Honor paycheck for a while.

Luke Perry was all smiles and goodwill as he stopped to sign autographs for fans outside the ABC Studios after appearing on the Live With Regis & Kelly Show yesterday. I don’t know how I feel about the beard and sunglasses.
