Avril Lavigne has come out with her very own clothing line "tailor made to her style specifications". So if you want to dress girly-punk, you better head on down to Kohls where the line is exclusively sold.

I agree. I love Avril Lavigne, people who rip on her and say shes pretending to be punk obviously know nothing about her, therefore cant say anything to criticize her style. She has made the remark in countless interviews that she isnt, and never will be punk. Thats just the label the press gave her and she thinks its bullshit. She is just being herself, not everything needs to be labeled into a catagory. If you actually look into her, shes an awesome person and just knows what she wants and doesnt let the press or company label push her around and make her into something. aka britney spears and all those other pop queens.
Avril kicks ass. plain and simple.

i am no huge avril fan, but i do think she has a great voice & like some of her songs because of the message they send – to be a strong & indepenedent female, not conform to the masses, and to stick up for what you believe in. SO what if she acts like a bratty little “punk”? Do you people really care that much? Shes portraying an image, and has little kids who look up to her because they can’t attain the glamorized Paris Hilton lifestyle OR appearance. You would think with all of the Britney’s and Lindsay’s and Paris’s out there already that someone without a sex tape, stash of cocaine and non-stop party agenda would be valued just a TAD more than those 3, and treated with a little bit more respect.. yet avril seems to be hated on the absolute MOST. She’s not out there fucking anything with 2 legs, or doing blow in every other club bathroom. Yeah she spit on the paparazzi and dresses like a punk. Its better than not wearing any underwear and getting paid for being famous.
i’m an avid fan of avril from philippines…and i really like her style, the way she dress! I just wish that i could buy her girly punk dresses here in philippines!!more power 2 u avril! keep rockin’ our world!
I agree with Kaitx. I live in Australia and teens can already buy clothes which look exactly like this stuff for a lot less. It’s nothing new. Now she’s brought out a clothing line, is a perfume next?

I totally agree with the two previous comments, I think Avril is a great role model. I’m not so keen on her new look, I much preferred her with brown hair and tomboy clothes, but she’s still cool now just different. I thought Under My Skin was an incredible album and I hope she’ll go back to that sort of style for her next album. And not all Avril fans are idiots I’ve been a fan of her since the very beginning and I don’t swear or vociferously protect her out of mindless loyalty.
^As and adult male and father of two young girls, I quite agree with your assessment that Avril is a strong & independent young female that does not conform to what others expect her too, that is what makes her unique, she basically does what she wants to do. And she is not running around being irresponsible like many of her peers, sure she has made a few mistakes, but who hasn’t?
I fully embrace the idea that she is in fact a great role model for young women today. I would be proud if my two daughters adopted her strong & independent mindset and did not conform to being likes of Britney, Lindsay or Paris as examples of how to act and behave. It in fact it would be my worst nightmare if my two daughters grew up to be like Britney, Lindsay or Paris. I totally agree that Avril deserves far more respect than she is receiving.
Avril has my full respect and she is has grown up in to a fine young responsible young woman that contributes far more to our society than most of her peers. I just wish people would get a clue about what it is to be an individual and think for themselves and learn to be strong & independent like Avril has, rather than conform to what our society seems to currently think is a good role model. Avril is a great example of how to be independant minded, yet a little bit different than the rest of the crowd and I applaud her for it.
Hey, Im new anyways I read a couple of your guys comments. Yea Im a Avril Fan but Im not a hard core fan. Those who critize her for her clothes, attitude or music are just jelous. See thats peoples problem they always have something to pin on someone. Yea everyone has an opinion and are allowed to voice it but to a certain extent so they dont upset those who look up to her, cause if not all your asking for is alot of trouble. She has done good compared to alot of stars, there were a few named in the previous comments. Yea she has done things that were mistakes and probably regrets it but we all have! She isnt the only star to do so. Not everyone likes her. But if you dont you should still be considerate on what you say…I ve been to one concert and I really enjoyed myself, she is really entertaining!

Yeah, strong and independant female setting a good example, especially proved with that song ‘girlfriend’, which encourages breaking people up and (in the video), bullying nerds.
Oh and the other video which had lyrics about as weak as cat’s piss and was nicely bolstered by her dancing in her undies. Go Avril.
And whilst she maybe isn’t running around riot like some of the other ‘celebrities’ out there, she’s hardly setting a good example by releasing one passable pop punk album, one flop of an album and one sugared up pop album where the videos contain her strutting around in increasingly shorter clothes.

Dude nobody has to go crazy even if someone dissed either way. I’m a half and half. I can’t listen to some of her songs around my parents because they’re explicit. I love certain song themes and others are just plain entertaining to listen to. And it’s not like she’s gotten even close to naked on the camera. I think that’s a HUGE plus compared to most stars of today.
They’re okay, but I’ve seen stuff almost exactly this style months ago in shops here in Ireland – those graffiti-style t-shirts were on sale in Primark, a really REALLY cheap shop here, for 5 euro, around 8 dollars I think! I wouldn’t wear any of it!!

Damn, take it easy psycho. I think the clothes look cute for the age group intended.. (Although I do love the sweater with ears on it)… I used to have a few Avril CD’s and they weren’t bad, but she really does like to act punk when her music is obviously pop, no one can deny that, and if you do well then you should make sure you’re actually listening to Avril music

I saw some pics of her line a few weeks ago on another site. It is exactly what my 16 year old niece loves.
it’s definitely not what I’d be wearing, (okay, maybe the hoodie with ears after work out, haha) but for her target group I think it is nice stuff at affordable prices.
It’s okay – nothing too special. It’s definitely her style. The tshirts are kinda too busy… too many skulls and whatnot. And if it wasn’t for the ears, I’d totally buy that sweatshirt.
