Why because she has an OPINION? WHich is pretty right on!
NO it's because she is claiming that the other ladies want the country to have only one opinion, yet she does not listen and she is on her horse about what she thinks. She also wants the world to have one opinion, HERS!
The whole point of the ad was to paint a negative image of Barack Obama. Paris and Brittany don't have the best public image; that was why they were chosen. If they put the images of respected celebrities in the commercial then it would have caused the audience to have more positive feelings than using the images of two celebrities people dislike and make fun of. It's really about image association. I think it was a silly ad but it was thought out and the two people in the ad were chosen for a reason. I understood exactly why the commercial was done the way it was done, I don't see why they were confused… These commercials are just like marketing but instead of selling a product they are trying to associate the subject to the commercial with negative things.
Elisabeth Hasslebeck is a complete idiot! Comparing Obama to Paris Hilton is like comparing Hasslebeck to Einstein! Doesn't make any sense!

The point of the ad is WOULD YOU VOTE PARIS HILTON OR BRITNEY SPEARS INTO OFFICE TO LEAD THE COUNTRY? Nothing else. They didn't try to suggest obama is like spears or hilton in their drug use, etc. Just because someone is popular, doesn't mean they are ready to lead the USA!!!

People get insane over these things! I think the ad drags Mcain down - not Obama. anyone with half a brain looks at that commercial and thinks - thats a bit of a stretch. It's almost a parady you would see on SNL. Mcain should be (and probably is) embaressed. I think people are smart enough to laugh at that ad and not receive any 'subliminal" message!

I find the View quite annoying. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but Elisabeth gets jumped all over! I actually agree with a lot of her views and find it disrespective when she is trying to make a point and the others talk over her and say, "No. You're wrong." They won't even listen to what she has to say.

I am not suprised, but I am suprised that no one is jumpping on McCain's flip-flop, he and his wife were all over the airwaves saying this was not going to be negative. Now that he is losing in every poll imaginable, he goes negative. Is this angry old man who want running our country?
Actually, if you look at the gallop poll, McCain and Obama are neck and neck. I definitely think this will be a close race. Either way this election goes will by no means be a landslide for either candidate.

I think that it is a complete digrace what McCain is doing, he cannot win on his "Bush" policies so he is doinghis best to dicredit Obama and, to me, he is coming off as a grumpy old man. It makes no sense to normal people that he would use Britney Spears and Paris Hiltonin an political ad, it is just stupid.

I don't agree with Elisabeth Hasselback, or deny her her right to her opinion. However she goes about trying to convince us that she is right and we are wrong the wrong way. It is almost like she doesn't give US the right to our own opinion. I find that SHE jumps all over everybody else and they are simply defending against her attacks. The give her credit to disagree but she doesn't even try to see the otherside of issues.
Neither do the others. It's not just her, even though I don't like her. I'm a fair person, I don't like any of these morons on the View.
