Jessica Simpson Joins The CMA

Jessica Simpson stopped by Nashville last week to sign up for membership in the Country Music Association. Simpson’s first Country single, “Come on Over,” is currently climbing the charts.
A source tells E! Entertainment,
“She was very sweet and seemed happy to join the organization. Being a member makes you part of the industry. It’s great for networking. “
CMA membership is made up of over 6,000 artists, managers, record company personnel, publicists, musicians, songwriters, full time Country radio staff members among others. Simpson will join such country legends such as Willie Nelson, Faith Hill, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood, who are all CMA members.
Besides “ordinary” benefits such as special rates on health insurance, Simpson will also be given the more “glamorous” benefit as a CMA member of being able to nominate and vote for a CMA Award.
As a CMA member, Jessica can now participate in the nomination process. Would you vote for yourself if you had the chance to? Be honest.

Jessica is a pathetic loser, trying to stay significant in Hollywood. Her talent is to bull$hit people. I can't stand this chick and her family of hacks.
I think she is great. She is just a sweet girl. Can't wait to get the album, the snippets I have heard so far are really good. She's perfect for country music.
Is she gaining weight? I like Come on over but I'm not gonna buy the album.
Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Don't you have to be able to at least SING in order to join?

She seems like a country gal. She needs to stop yo-yo dieting. She's almost as bad as Janet Jackson.
she is not even that big!her BMI is CLEARLY in the range of normal. This is probably her natually weight, but because of comments like these she has starved herself only to come back to her natual weigh which she is at now.
I really don't think she is a loser. I mean, I am not her biggest fan but look at how far the girl has gone. She works hard, even when it doesn't always earn her the best reviews, she always looks good which is more than we can say about the young celebs these days and has so far kept away from drugs and self destructive behaviour. She has been through a divorce but has not done a charlie sheen even when she could. I think she is doing well so far.

Her single is NOT climbing the charts. It debuted at 41 and went to 18 and now it is and has been falling. Don't be too thrilled at having her as a member. People are saying she worked hard? Her money is buying her all the press and other little favors that put her in the limelight. Money talks people. She is a disgrace to go on the stage of the Opry knowing she dissed one of their members, Carrie Underwood, calling her classless and a liar. Carrie is one of the biggest draws of the Opry selling out two shows all the time. If Jessica could buy her way into the Opry she would, she has like hundreds of millions of dollars but who cares when no one respects you as a person or an artist. Sad life.
She is actually a lot smaller and thinner than she looks in this picture. VERY unflattering dress/angle.
