For those of you who are big Debra Messing fans, I have some good news. The Starter Wife is returning to USA for its second season.
The Starter Wife premieres October 10th at 9pm.

LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!! For those of you who never saw it, it was GREAT!! I highly encourage all of you to give it a shot! Especially anyone who has ever been burned in love:) It was funny, cute and sweet - love it! Excited for the return - thanks for the heads up Vera!

This should be interesting... I wonder what they are going to do about her ex-husband. He was so swarmy! The actor that played him is on House, now.
The mini-series was not very good, in my opinion. Some of it was okay but it just lacked a lot.
I actually loved this show! I've been waiting to hear when it's going to come back on! Sometimes I get tired of all these reality shows!

I'm confused, too. What was on last year was called a "mini series" and now this sounds like "season 2" of a series. I dunno. LOL

I plan on watching! I loved the first season. Although I spent an unhealthy amount of time obsessing about how thin Debra Messing is.
I'll be watching. It was well written and snarky and fun. The characters weren't all redeemable, but that was okay because it fit the tone of the show.

I really like Debra Messing, but I don't get that chanell up here.
I watched the mini-series so something I will likely add to the DVR. Won't be rushing to see but added to my shows to watch this fall.
I dont watch TV much these days anymore. I lost interest. Debra is cool but she's acting like Grace in many of her movies and other new gigs.
Okay, I looked on the USA Network website and it will be a new series based on the mini-series. There will be a mini-series marathon on August 30 and the new series starts October 10. I guess that's why it reads "New Original Series" on the picture Vera posted! lol I am looking forward to the series as I really liked the mini-series. :o)
Oh, thanks for the info on the rebroadcast. I saw the promos but forgot to watch it. Will DVR the miniseries this weekend!
Debra Messing is always a class act!
I LOVED THIS SHOW! But, like others, I though it was just a short-lived mini-series. That's awesome that they're bringing it back, but not good b/c that's just one more show that I have to make time to watch.
I loooove Debra Messing..I followed her since her Will and Grace days and even movies like The Wedding Date ..which is really cute for anyone who hasn't seen it..so I gave the Starter Wife a chance last season..but I kinda got disappointed with the show after a while..I don't know..the first episode was good though..then it just started going down hill for me...maybe I'll give it another try this season since I do adore Debra *keeping fingers crossed*
Exactly. A weekly series that was made after the miniseries was such a hit for USA. They began filming the series last fall but due to the strike it was put on hold until now. Instead of depressing like many shows this is light-hearted and silly and can't we all use a dose of silly at times? I hope it does well in the ratings war.
