Forbes Names Nicole Kidman The Most Over Paid Actor In Hollywood

Yikes!! Now, THAT's an award you don't want to win. Forbes is basically saying Nicole Kidman is not worth the hefty fee that comes along with having her star in a film. Her return on investment percentage is lower than what it should be.

For example, The Invasion lost $2.68 for every $1 they paid Kidman!

For Nicole, it just means she gets paid a boat load of money. The good news is, I doubt it will stop. This analysis won't change things in Hollywood because sometimes Nicole really does bring in the dough and it's a risk studios are willing to take.

So, who else made the list?

  1. Nicole Kidman
  2. Jennifer Garner
  3. Tom Cruise
  4. Cameron Diaz
  5. Jim Carrey
  6. Nicolas Cage
  7. Drew Barrymore
  8. Will Ferrell
  9. Cate Blanchett

I have to agree with Jennifer Garner being on this list. I find her pretty annoying. Can I also say that the title of Nicolas Cage's new movie, "Bangkok Dangerous", is the worst title I have heard in a while.

Well and if you start paying them less, word gets around that they aren't worth as much anymore.. what studio wants to hire THAT?! They're pretty much stuck with hiring them, or finding somebody else (that may not bring in as much return).

Stephanie, I agree! Bangkok Dangerous and Tropic Thunder -- neither makes me want to see it. There have been some terrible movie titles of late.

Bangkok Dangerous is horrible. Tropic Thunder makes sense if you know anything about the movie - it's the title of the book the movie they're making is based on.

I agree with first two, as far as box office is concerned, I have no idea HOW they still get jobs.

I'm confused as to why Tom Cruise, Jim Carrey and Cate Blanchett are on this list. I kinda disagree and agree with Nicholas Cage. He's a great actor, but some of his movies HAVE been questionable......

Bangkok Dangerous is a remake of the Asian film entilted the same. Based on the original movie, it should be pretty good, but I haven seen Nick's version.

I understand all the people on this list. Although I still like Drew Barrymore, *most* of the rest are people who used to do good work but now just do dull projects. Tom Cruise ruined himself by talking about his Scientology beliefs and getting together with Katie Holmes. And as for Jennifer Garner- I've always marveled at this woman's crack PR team because she NEVER earned a place on the A-list. If she hadn't gotten knocked up by Ben Affleck and married him, no one would care about her today.

Totally, does anyone remember when she guest starred on Felicity as Noel's girlfriend from back home (back when she was married to Scott Foley who played Noel)? I could not stand they way she pouted her mouth!! She had such a sour face. I never wanted to see her again and then Alias happened. Then, I remember her all of a sudden being this big deal and I would hear guys talking about her being hot. I never understood any of it. Had the world gone mad? That's my JG rant! sigh. Glad I got that off my chest after all these years. haha

Yes, THANK YOU! I was wondering why the h*ll everybody talked about her like she was actually interesting. She's built like a man with a virtually flat chest, no waist and narrow hips. And without the collagen, she wouldn't have much of a mouth, either. And I liked Alias- but it was *in spite* of Jennifer Garner, not *because* of her!

Since when is Jennifer Garner considered A-list?

That list is screwed up. Seriously, Tom Cruise? The man may be poison now but he could pull in BIG bucks. Same with Jim Carrey, Nic Cage, Will Farrell, & CATE BLANCHETT? I agree with Nicole & Cameron, though.

true all actors are overaid in tv and movie. This list is a joke because Maguire,Sandra Bullock,Hanks,Depp,Julia Roberts,Pitt,Clooney,Angelina,Damon etc are not listed. Cruise is still bankable because he made Tropic Thunder a hit and actually he has the only antiwar film that made money unlike Redacted,Stop Loss,Rendition,Valley of Elah all flopped. That W movie on Bush by Oliver Stone will already tanked. Many actors and actresses movies dont do well unless its a superhero or blockbuster with a cult following. Their serious films dont do well. i.e Maguire outside Spiderman his films flopped Depp outside Pirates dont do well Bale outside Batman dont do well Angelina only became hot again with Beowulf and Wanted but her other serious films tanked Pitt's western film flopped Clooney has many flops except the ensemble Oceans 12. Reese,Charlize,Halle Barry,Julia Roberts,Naomi Watts King Kong esp Kidman all flopped
