Do you want to contribute to the Richie-Madden Children’s Foundation's newest initiative? They are raising funds to build a state of the art playground for kids at the Beyond Shelter in LA.
If so, text CHILD to 90999. It's $5 a text and they need $25,000 to complete the job.

I agree. they are so loaded, to spring for a playground wouldn't set them back at all, meantime, I need new tires and a battery for my 1980 civic :-)

pathetic...why would I pay $5 when I'm not even from LA...how about other children that's not from there can enjoy this? I have better things to spend my money on than this stupid playground. These selfish people want to hold their money for themselves. They should be embarrassed. $25k is probably what she spends on clothes in one week.
Sorry, I can't. My taxes are about to go way up, thanks to President Bush, for billion dollar bailouts. Ask the CEO's of these companies, they have millions, while we bail out their companies. Maybe they can sell one of their houses or expensive cars.

does anyone else agree that they should stop this. If they really think that it's such a great thing to contribute too...they should fork up the damn money since they are so rich from being retarded asses! Seriously...selfish bitches!

Our Premier (Provincial head--kinda like a state Govenor) gave his buddies a nice fat raise during the summer, while we the lowly people of BC have to add that extravagance onto our tax bill. We too have higher gas, rent, and groceries while three levels of government and a transit board find ways to take more money from us. Five bucks may not sound like a lot to a celeb but to some it is milk and bread for the kids for the week.
Don't they have enough dang money? I mean, that's measly compared to what they spend on a daily basis. And I honestly doubt they really care. It's all about their image. I have no qualms about charities asking for donations, but they are well able to front $25,000. For a playground....hmmm, aren't there city parks? And what about the kids who don't have food on their tables? They won't have the energy to play on a $25,000 dollar play set. I know I sound cynical, but this makes me angry. I give when I can and always volunteer, but when they can't give anything but their names....bs.
we all agree! they can go f- themselves if they care so much they should just forke the money over themselves. as kids we played with rocks and sticks in our etc.... not everyone are spoiled hollywood brats that need a $25K playground. Why not donate the $$ to a food pantry.. there plenty of our own btothers and sisters thta can benefit from it all over the 50 states ...
i agree with all of you! you can spend thousands of dollars on vacations, clothes and jewelery and probably spent 25,000 on their little girl but they can't fund building a playground! whatever! i can't stand celebrities that ask for people to donate to their causes. I will donate to people who really need it but not anything celebrity based cause they don't need help getting the money. they are just to selfish to fork it over themselves.

I agree with all of you too! To the the poster who says that Nicole probably spends $25 K a week on clothes, you are so right! These people are so loaded and they want people who are doing their best to get by to shell out the money for this? They should be ashamed of themselves. Just goes to show that the only reason they do this "charity" stuff is just to get publicity for themselves. $25K is like pocket change to her, Benji and her multi-millionaire father, Lionel Ritchie. The best thing to do is help kids directly yourselves, not to give to these shady charities. Many of these "charities" are so disgustingly corrupt and barely any of the money goes to what it was actually donated for. Help people directly, not through a shady "charity", or buying some product because it has a stupid pink ribbon on it (to use that as an example). It's all a sickening scam to prey on people's sympathy to get money out of them.
