THIS is the title Page Six used on a story about Travis Barker and his new fear of flying? I mean, it hasn't even been a week and the news outlet is already poking fun at the incident? I'm sorry. I know it's about attention grabbing headlines, but I think this is too much.
These men are forever scarred mentally and physically. And they are the lucky ones...
I'm with you, Vera. This is totally out of line. The media has gotten out of control, poking fun at people during the darkest times of their lives. I'm glad that you are a blogger with a heart. You have class and compassion and that is what make INO the best blog out there. ~ Nyx ~

completely classless and insensitive!
That's just wrong on so many levels. And I agree: I love this blog because even though we can be honest here, there's not the meanness you see on other blogs.
Oh. My. GAWD.

title says "Fear of Frying" ... not Flying. This piece of article you posted doesnt make fun at all of his situation.... im sure others have but this one in particular doesnt. Vera you also are guilty of attention grabbing headlines and sometimes your notes try to make the story even more juicier when is not.

are you 12? They are using the common term "fear of flying" and trying to be funny by replacing it with "fear of frying" because they were practically burned to death in an airplane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WRONG. Are you serious?? Fear of Flying would be semi appropriate! Half of his body was burned and you think 'Fear of Frying' is OK?? Wow. You need to check yourself, sister.....

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt in that perhaps you have been living under a rock and have no idea what the situation was that they were talking about OR you're one of the peanut gallery who loves to come in here an comment after having not read the blog entry.

guys, clearly papyrus' brain is too small to comprehend the humour Page Six attempted to portray with this headline. don't be mad at papyrus. feel sad for her. perhaps one day, she'll grow some brains and understand the insensitivity of this headline.
I agree is terrible what happened to these people, famous or not. I just didnt see how HORRIBLE or SICKENING this "headline" was, I personally would never use or approve of it to be published but sadly we have seen worse and i dont think this headline was a big deal. Maybe im a tough cookie and im not going to retract because most pp disagree.

I think the disagreement was with your statement that you didn't see how it made fun of his situation. Perhaps you misphrased what you wanted to say, but I doubt it. Not a big deal. Not everyone is sensitive to others.

completely uncalled for.
I really don't like the headline at all, it's NOT funny. Not only were 2 men burned in the accident, four people lost their lives inside that burning plane. I think the headline is tasteless and could be hurtful to them if they see it.

Wow, completely unnecessary! So wrong on so many levels... I will use the same word as Anonymous (9:21)... CLASSLESS!!
Occasional VisitorSep 30, 2008 @ 09:44 am
Tactless and quite cruel to the survivors AND to the families of those who died. Plus the photo they used of Travis makes it seem "funny" (and I use that term sarcastically).
BrowserSep 30, 2008 @ 09:55 am
What he should never do is fly on a private plane ever again. So sad for all those people.
SICK!!
It's in poor taste. Damn New Yorkers.
um... how about damn Post? i'm from new york, and i didn't write that. thanks, tho.
Even TMZ isn't that classless. it all comes down to money and people talking about it. Sad to say but this is included in Freedom of Speech...but it still is disgusting and wrong. I don't blame Travis for never wanting to fly again. I have panic attacks when i know im going to fly and nothing bad has ever happened to me yet on a plane.
BrowserSep 30, 2008 @ 10:42 am
That's tasteless.
BrowserSep 30, 2008 @ 10:55 am
That is horrible. P.S. I can see why Travis doesn't smile much. Although I must add, statistically, he has a very slim chance of ever being in another plane crash.....but I can understand him never wanting to fly again.
BrowserSep 30, 2008 @ 11:25 am
That is completely ridiculous! What ever happened to having a little respect.
BrowserSep 30, 2008 @ 11:30 am
at is SO INCREDIBLY TACKY. Very disrespectful.... they should be ashamed.
We are talking about the Post. I don't expect them to show any class. But still, I want to believe that this is a typo because this is ridiculously insensitive. There is a special place in Hell for someone who thinks this was a good choice for a headline.
Occasional VisitorSep 30, 2008 @ 11:36 am
am i ignorant and naive for thinking that it might have been a typo? i guess i need to get out more... i feel like a dumb ass now
Whoa that is low and disgusting. I hope they apologize.
That's really insensitive.
Absolutely DISGUSTING, I am very shocked at them for using this headline. Travis and AM are lucky to be alive and people should be thankful for that. They are healing themselves and are mentally scarred forever, also they have lost close friends and will never ever get over that loss, the last thing they need is people poking fun at the horrific accident! whoever said yes and made that final decision on that headline should be disgusted with themselves and truly embarrassed.
Seriously low. Just shows how insensitive people can be.
