Here’s a story to be inspired by!This month, the Estee Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign (BCA) has launched a huge advertising initiative that hopes to connect with all audiences to heighten awareness of, and education on, the importance of early detection of breast cancer.The message of the 2008 campaign is simple:

World Pink.World Without Breast Cancer.Wear a Pink Ribbon.Make a Difference."

The cosmetics giant has banded together 15 of its leading companies to sell exclusive pink-ribbon products to raise funds for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.Here’s a list of the brands and their pink-ribbon items!:

• Aveda Hand Relief ($21; $4 of each sale donated);
• Bobbi Brown Pink Ribbon Collection ($40; $35,000 will be donated);
• Bumble and Bumble Classic Hairspray ($11; $1 of each sale donated);
• Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion ($35; $10 of each sale donated);
• Clinique Butter Shine Lipstick in Ribbon Pink ($16.50; $10 of each sale donated);
• Darphin Predermine Wrinkle Corrective Serum ($205; $20 of each sale donated);
• Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Spray ($58; $15,000 will be donated);
• Estee Lauder Pink Ribbon Collection (various products; $500,000 will be donated) – Hint:I love the Elizabeth Hurley Lip Gloss Collection!!;
• Jo Malone Red Roses Cologne and Bath Oil ($55-$100; $15,000 will be donated);
• Lab Series Skincare for Men Daily Moisture Lotion ($37.50; $10,000 will be donated);
• La Mer Creme de La Mer ($220-$1,350; $30,000 will be donated);
• Ojon Revitalizing Mist ($26; 20% will be donated up to $35,000);
• Origins Peace of Mind On-the-Spot Relief ($10; $35,000 will be donated);
• Prescriptives Pink Ribbon Collection ($38-$76; $30,000 will be donated);
• Sean John Fragrances ($55-$57; $10,000 donation in connection with two fragrances sold); and

Yesterday I wrote about my favorite Fashion Week find!:YBF (Your Best Face) Anti-Aging Products.A reader wrote in about CORRECT Cream and how it has helped withthewhole eye areaand facial mishaps as well.I concur–here’s my two cents, for what it’s worth, on the rest of the line!:

CORRECT:I will admit that I am a sucker for eye cream.I realized a few years ago that my dark circles are not going anywhere, so I have gone to great lengths to try and make them disappear, not always successfully!!So I’ve become a snob when it comes to creams professing to be orbital savers, which is where CORRECT comes in.Like our reader yesterday, I have to say that this product really delivers!

The skin around myeyes instantly felt tightened when I applied it, which I have felt with anti-aging creams before, but it gave it an envigorating feeling as well — sort of like the feeling after you’ve had a cooling mask on your eyes for a while. Withdaily applications, I began to see a difference in the skin around my eyes, not only withfilling in lines, but also withlightening thebluish dark circles I alwaysfind there.I loved it!!After about two weeks, my conclusion is that this cream really lives up to its promises, which I can’t say the same for most that I’ve tried.

CONTROL:Here’s what I loved about this cream:it’s packed with anti-oxidants, anti-aging ingredients, andskin brighteners, all in one package, and they all WORKED!!Lots of times, I’ve found that products that multi-task don’t always deliver on all their promises, but this cream lived up to its claims.To me, it kind of felt like a protective mask that I was able to wear all day.

RESTORE:What I really loved aboutthis is that it managed to help diminish the sun spots on my nose and cheeks as well, which I thought were there to stay!It’s sort of like combining several of my favorite creams (moisturizer, sunscreen, wrinkle-fighter, brightener, etc) into one.

Beverly Mitchell and her accountant fiance Michael Cameron tied the knot in a small ceremony in Ravaello, Italy on Wednesday. Beverley wore a wedding gown designed by Melissa Sweet. Jessica Biel served as a bridesmaid and 7th Heaven co-star Makenzie Rosman was also in attendence.

Congrats to the happy couple! I can’t wait to see the pictures of Jessica in her bridesmaid dress.

DRAMA!

Adnan Ghalib has blasted reports that he has a sex tape with Britney Spears in his possession. So, I guess that is the end to this rumor.Wonder why it was reported Adnan said there was one to begin with?

"There is no sex tape and I’ve never claimed there is one. I don’t know where these quotes I’m supposed to have said have come from. What I do know is they certainly didn’t come from me and they are
completely false. I’m extremely upset and distressed and I’m taking
legal action… This story has caused a lot of hurt to my family and
people close to me.

"There is no sex tape. That is the end of the matter."

Was there really no tape? Or was Adnan threatened paid off to be quiet?

In other news, Britney Spears, accompanied by her manager Larry Rudolph, paid a visit to Junior High School 142 in The Bronx and signed autographs for the students. How nice of her! I am sure that made the kids’ day!
