Pink Doesn’t Love Katy Perry’s Song

Pink loves Katy Perry as a singer but she’s not so crazy about her single, "I Kissed a Girl."She and some of her gay girlfriends have talked about it and they think that the lyrics trivialize being gay.
"What did I think of Perry’s song? I
thought ‘I Kissed a Girl’ was trivializing being gay. I’ve been
speaking to my gay girlfriends about it, and they’re kinda put off by
it. I’m not judging and comparing, though."
But on Katy, Pink says she’s, "f**king awesome."
Anyone out there care to weigh in on the subject.Does Pink have a point or is this song just another catchy chorus, nothing more, nothing less?

that song is sooooo obnoxious! her other songs are pretty freaking awful too. i definitely feel like it’s trying too hard to be sexy and edgy. not to completely dog her though, she’s got a FANTASTIC body and she’s laughing all the way to the bank. her personality actually seems kind of cute, i just can’t listen to her music.
I say this not to be a jerk but because you probably want to have a career in journalism or writing someday.
In paraphrasing Pink’s quote, you told us exactly what she said and you even used the same exact words she did. As a result, I didn’t need to read the quote at all because you told me the exact same thing twice!
Am I saying omit the quote? No, I’m saying gives us the scoop in your own words, then add the quote. And maybe don’t clue us in on everything the quote. Let a few lines be a surprise!

It is a catchy song, and thats the problem for a 10 yr old to be singing it with her friends. Its on the radio every 10 seconds.
It isn’t even a song about being gay. The song is about those tipsy bi-sexual moments many women have experienced. Anyone ever played truth or dare drunk…all kinds of things can happen. The song isn’t suppose to insight serious debate on being gay or gays in the media.
But Pink and Katy both rock!!

katy perry is awesome and that song is very catchy and gays should stop complaining about everything, its just a song
i think that song is something that should have been written in the 90s or 80s. In fact it was written in the 90s or there was one similar, not the same in the 90s. The song in the 90s though wasn’t as stupid. Kissing a girl now is not a big deal and it’s stupid to sing about it anymore. At least singing about it and putting the focus on the fact that it was a girl is stupid, because it’s not a big deal anymore at all to kiss a girl. People are over the whole gay thing. Not everyone, but enough people are that there is no point in making a song like that.
When I think of how I viewed kissing a girl (since i’m female) back when I was in grade school versus now, it’s insane how much different I feel about it. Back then it was such a big deal. Now it’s , so what big deal. Hopefully one day it will stop being a trend and people will be more true to themselves and kiss what they want to, whether it’s female or male. It’s so dumb to try to act trendy and go that far instead of just being who you are. I don’t care what people are, as long as they aren’t just doing it for show. And with all that said, I think this Katy chick sucks!

I really liked the song but the lyrics were a bit lame. I feel like the kissing a girl when your straight to impress boys ship sailed a long time ago haha. It was catchy though!
I agree with Pink. The song does not represent a real lesbian existence…it’s about a straight girl who kisses another girl to see what it’s like. It’s definitely not going to become a political anthem for the lesbians of the world.
I hate the song, but it’s because I find her voice to be VERY annoying.
i used to like it, then it got too much radio play and it got old. plus, it could be that Pink is jealous that she didn’t get to sing it. idk.
