Trouble For American Idol Couple Kimberly Caldwell & David Cook?
American Idol alum Kimberly Caldwell (she placed seventh in the show's second season) returned to the spotlight when she caught the eye (and the heart) of American Idol winner David Cook. David recently proposed with a $54,000 engagement ring. Yet, according to Star magazine, Kimberly was caught getting a little too cozy with an LA bar manager named Ryan Der on December 29.
'Everyone could see she was really letting loose,' an insider tells Star. 'She and Ryan were laughing together as they threw back beers and vodka cocktails.' "
It supposedly didn't end there.
Before long, says the insider, Kim and Ryan, a tall hunk with a shaved head, were "grinding on the dance floor. They started playfully kissing, but that quickly led to long lip locks until they were full-on making out.”
This is Star, so whether or not it's true remains to be seen. Hopefully it's not. David seems like a genuinely nice guy.

Kimberly Caldwell likes to sleep around, so news is not shocking. David Cook is happy without her, and that's all that matters.

They were not engaged! DC himself denied the rumors saying it was too early to think about marriage. And it looks like they've broken up some time ago so she wasn't cheating on him either. Leave them both alone.
David Cook said in an interview the idea of proposing to her was HILARIOUS, so there was no engagement, they broke up, we will se them with other people.David is happy and enjoying his sucess.

David is such a good and sweet person and I think he just got crazy for the wrong girl. I hope he is not hurting. I heard his radio interview yesterday at Q102 and they asked about KC and he didn't want to say anything about her, which is different from before when he always said she was great, everything was great, etc. His voice sounded so down. But he has MUCH GREATER things and people in store for him. I wish them both well.

David Cook disputed the false engagement rumor during a live radio interview. And said that he doesn't plan on getting married anytime soon because he's only 26 years old. Rumor has it that she broke up with him before Christmas. So who knows what's going on. David is doing very well and appears to be very happy. And why aren't there any pictures of Kim and the new guy? I wish them both much success.

Caldwell denied the rumor on her myspace and said it was fabricated. And David is saying nothing because his PR realizes it may hurt his concert sales. The boards are filled with inaccurate info. Just because she is out of sight doesn't mean she is out of David's mind. I hope it's over too, because I can not stand her. But with Cook going out on tour and skanky starting idol, they are keeping it low profile and saying nothing.
Cook should set the record straight on the relationship just to bring the focus back on his music. He asked the skank out publicly so the fans should know the truth without the grisly detail.
