Bill just got back from dropping the kids off at his mother’s house. I can’t find any more stories to write about and am just waiting for hubby to get out of the shower.

I am not looking forward to this trip.

She doesn’t remember me… and that is really hard to handle. She hasn’t always lived in PA. We were both in Astoria since I’ve been born. I saw her every weekend and while as we both aged, our relationship dwindled – she’s still a fond memory for me. But it’s not the other way around.

The last time I visited my grandmother we all went in and my cousin asked her, "Do you know who this is?" while pointing to me.

And she said, "Yes, she’s that man’s wife" pointing to Bill. My heart sank. It’s not her – it’s the disease. But how easily someone can change and have everyone around them change right along with them.

It’s just sad. The entire thing. The fact that I don’t really connect with my father’s family as often as I should, the fact that I don’t visit or call my grandmother because I know she won’t remember 2 seconds later, the fact that the process of dying is slow and heart wrenching.

My grandfather… actually BOTH grandfathers also died with dementia/ Alzheimer’s kicking in. So this is not a new road for me. It’s just I am much older now and have children which means I look at it differently. I don’t know how my father and his sister are handling it.

My father isn’t taking the ride with me, so I guess he is either repressing the sadness or just numb to the whole thing. My aunt lives in PA near the home, so she deals with it the most out of all of us. It’s just sad that we all aren’t closer to one another to share the responsibility and lighten her load.

Sorry so gloomy – but this could be the last time I see her.

David Arquette removed a benign tumor on his eyebrow which has left him temporarily paralyzed. He was photographed with a black eye which means plastic surgery in Hollywood right? The press immediately leaned towards that angle, but the actor visited The Ellen DeGeneres show to clear up the rumor.

"I had an osteoma, I think it’s called, so they took it out. I can’t move my eyebrow yet.
"Its getting better, much better, but most of my friends are like, ‘You used to move your eyebrows too much anyway.’ No more James Dean cool guy stuff."

Thank goodness everything turned out ok!

Is Nicole Kidman pregnant with her second child?
The world is a buzz this morning after pictures from the Japan premiere of Australia show a bit of a bump underneath Nicole’s dress. Add that to the fact that the actress wouldn’t take her hands away from her belly and you got yourself this morning’s viral rumor!

So, what do you think? Is she or isn’t she?

(February 28th – UPDATE): Guess the rumors got back to Nicole’s camp because her representative has ended the buzz.

Whitney Port and a friend were spotted doing some shopping in West Hollywood. The City star picked up a few things at the trendy Alice and Olivia boutique. Transformers star Rachael Taylor was also photographed at the shop which makes me wonder. Do you think it was free day for celebs? You know… the paps were in place, the logos were visible, and everyone walks away happy? Or was it just a coincidence that two celebs were caught at the same time in the shop?

Any City fans? Admittedly, I stopped watching after two shows, but Whitney recently tweeted that she’s been picked up for more episodes. That means someone is watching.

Kelly Clarkson sat down with Paul O’Grady and opened up about her new album and even gave a performance of her latest single.The interview is 10 minutes long, but here are a few samples.

On audiences who aren’t receptive to Kelly’s music.

I guess I get annoyed because I’m like, "So why are you here?. It’s never a tour. It’s like a one off that you do with a bunch of other artists and they are all hardcore KORN fans. Then I’m like, "Hey, I won a talent show".

On this album not being so man-hate

I just had one stinker and I wrote a lot about it. I’ve had a lot of good boyfriends. I just had one that was just a real kicker. Yeah, I got it out. This is a more happy album.

On having to be in love to write love songs:

No. I’ve never truly been in love but I can definitely capture that feeling or you know what you want it to be like.

I know what a few celebs wear but what kind of foundation does everyone else wear. I am always looking for a good foundation. I want something with good coverage but doesn’t looked caked on.
