Check out the gorgeous ladies that arrived to the 40th Annual NAACP Image Awards held last night in Los Angeles.
- Rosario Dawson in a gorgeous black cocktail dress. Love the back detailing.
- Mo’Nique kept it classic in a red dress and heels.
- Sanaa Lathan really brought the sexy back with a red LOW cut dress and black detailing.
- Tia Mowry was probably one of my favorites with a lovely black gown with vintage pin.
- Nia Peeples brought some color to the event in a bright satin pink dress with interesting neckline.
- Halle Berry looking… perfect.
I think almost everyone looked perfect with Rosario and Tia being among my favorites. Who do you think stood out the most? Which dress did you love, or hate?

There is nothing in those THREE definitions that say anything about a majority oppressing a minority, so I dont know where you got your definition from. African Americans are just as racist as white people… if not more… We, as white people have to put them on a pedastal all becuase of enslaving thier great great great great great ancesestors almost 200 years ago…
I don’t know where you get your idea from, but who told you, you have to put black people on a pedestal? you have been mis-informed. Black people just want to celebrate their race, their culture and who they are. Just like Jews protect their culture and race by teaching their children about their history and what happened to them. Blacks and Jews are two races of people that were oppressed. Even today, you still have racism againts Jews and Blacks. You seem to have a chip on your shoulder, that makes you miserable. Don’t hate on these African Americans for wanting to improve their image and support who they are as people. Take the time to get to know the histories, instead of wasting your time, going to WIKI, copying and pasting.
You need to read up on your history fool, the reason there are awards such as these, is because for many years your ancestors keep blacks from going to school, laws were enacted to keep blacks from voting etc. I’m not going to go into details about it, is too long and too complicated. I don’t want to start an argument about race and white this, and black that. This is a blog site about entertainment, if you are angry at something go vent somewhere else. If you want a white world, I here the ARYAN Nation is always looking for new recruits. We’ve come a long way, for you to vomit your sh!t here, again go read on your history and then think and post again.
I’m not going to jump on you for your comment. Because I think some times we can’t see the forest thru the trees. But before you criticize the NAACP for honoring people of color. You should really do some research. How many black people are nominated for an Oscar??? 2 black women and no black men. How many latin people??? 1 latina actress and no latino actors. How many Asians or Indians??? That would be ZERO. Now let me ask how many white actors and actress are nominated….17! And if you watched to show you would know the NAACP didn’t just honor black people. Al Gore got an award for his enviromental work. We just want shows and actors that we love to know just because you didn’t get an EMMY, SAG, OSCAR nomination. Doesn’t mean there are no people out there enjoying your work. So award shows like the NAACP were started because people of color were shut out of the mainstream award shows. The EMMY’S, SAG and The OSCARS would only honour white people. So you can’t blame people of color for going and starting their own award show.

Some people will never see how unbalanced the mainstream award shows are. Some people will always look at that one person of color getting nominated. And think well we nominated some one black so why are they not happy. And look at the 20 or 30 white people nominated the never see how unfair that is.
Please. Black actors have won Oscars, Emmys, Grammys, Golden Globes. No white person has ever won an NAACP award.

All these ladies look great. I think it’s wonderful that the African American community embraces womanly curves, and doesn’t perpetuate the anorexic standard. With the exception of Mo Nique who is clearly overweight, all these women have perfect bodies – you can tell they eat, but they are still tones and thin.
Please not start this mess. Because Al Gore just got an award from the NAACP last night. You would have known if you watched the show. Don’t go spreading lies.
