Radiohead Responds To Miley Cyrus’ Radio Rant

Ouch! This one got ugly.
A few days ago, Miley Cyrus went on the radio and spoke about how the group Radiohead wouldn’t give her access to their dressing room for a private meet up.
“My manager asked and said, you know, ‘Miley, she’s really obsessed and she’d really like to meet them,’ and they were like, ‘Yeah, we don’t really do that.’”
“I left ’cause I was so upset. I wasn’t going to watch! I’d already texted all my friends, we were all freaking out.”
Well, Thom Yorke (Radiohead’s frontman) got wind of the quote and released one of his own.
“When Miley grows up, she’ll learn not to have such a sense of entitlement.”

Im usually not on Miley’s side,(because i agree with many things said in comments abocve) but like he said she is a child– who just wanted to meet one of her role models. I think it was more excitement turned into major dissapointment than an “entitlement” issue. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t suffer from entitlement issues as well though. Heather <3

I agree. I didn’t get the sense that she felt like she was entitled to meet him. More like she was a fan who thought she’d get the chance to meet him since they were obviously in the same building.
Texting her friends might have been: OMG I might get to meet so and so.
She didn’t watch and left because she was probably embarrassed.
He could have been more respectful. He’s the adult here. I don’t care who he is. His attitude was stank and even though I liked them before, I’m liking him less now.

Its not necessarily entitelment, I would think it was fanaticism (being a fan) and yes, hoping that her ‘fame’ would give her a bit of privledge that others wouldnt be given; but moreso she would want to go back to see them because shes a FAN of them, she says ‘obssessed’ so its wasnt entirely vain. How incredibly HORRIBLE of him to respond to someones wish like that and way to reject someone who appreciates your music.
we have no idea how she asked and what went down. So to make his comment public and we’re talk after she outed him and made a stink about it like a little brat would, he but her in her place. She did bring herself to a point of looking entitled.
