Keira Knightley is currently working on a film called Never Let Me Go. It’s directed by Mark Romanek, who also directed the indie classic One Hour Photo (starring Robin Williams). Here’s the plot of Never Let Me Go:

An alternate history story of a woman who, as she reflects on her
private school years in the English countryside, reunites with her two
friends to face the dark secrets tied to their communal past."

The "hardest working man in showbusiness," Ryan Seacrest, host of: American Idol, E! News, and On Air with Ryan Seacrest*, has reportedly found a girlfriend! Her name is Jasmine Waltz, and she currently works as a bartender in LA but is reportedly an aspiring actress.

Ryan even whisked Jasmine away to Paris this past weekend. Sounds serious! One person who’s probably thrilled is Ryan’s mother.

Seacrest’s mother Connie told momlogic.com she wished her son… would have more time to date. ‘That would be wonderful for him,’ she
said, ‘and we’d stand a better chance for him to have a relationship.’ "

It sounds like Ryan’s bringing some balance to his life: good for him!

This is the day of reality TV show deals! American Idol winner Fantasia has just inked a deal with VH-1 to star in her own reality TV show, which is set to premiere in 2010.

‘Fantasia has one of the most fascinating stories in show business,
from her tough upbringing to her meteoric rise on the national
scene thanks to American Idol, ‘ said Jeff Olde, executive vp
original programming at VH1. ‘Her challenges from fame and her
unwillingness to fail have combined to create a larger-than-life
talent who appeals to music lovers around the world.’

‘Fantasia’s life has been an open book, but at 24 years old, her
story has just begun,’ [Executive Producer] Barbato said. ‘We look forward to smashing
expectations and revealing the fresh, funny and unexpected side of
this one-of-a-kind country girl and superstar.’ "

I can’t believe Fantasia is only 24! This will certainly be a contrast to Keshia Knight Pulliam, don’t you think?

Okay, I’ve told you how much I love the show Dollhouse. And I, like many of the show’s fans, held my breath when I heard that Fox did not intend to air the thirteenth (and final) episode filmed but instead was saving it for the DVD (sugggesting cancellation was imminent).

Yet when PaleyFest and Eliza Dushku honored Dollhouse creator Joss Whedon last night, Joss indicated that all was not lost.

‘They’re waiting to see what happens,’ he said, adding Fox has said
the ‘numbers have been solid and the demographic is wonderful and the
DVR ratings have been great.’

‘So right now I’ve gone from a
sort of place of ‘You don’t even care, nobody loves me’ [laughs] to a
place of God, I can’t believe I’m saying this … hope.’

‘[W]e have a few more episodes coming up – whether it’s 12 or 13 – they
are fierce,’ he added. ‘They are ridiculous; I am so proud of them.
We’re going to go out this season with a bang, and hopefully we’ll get
to come back for Season 2.’ "

Eliza said she missed working with Joss (she was on Buffy).

[Joss] saw sides of me that a lot of people don’t see. Everyone sort of just
painted me in black leather pants and put me in a push-up bra and made
me kick ass and he was like, ‘I want to put you in a floral dress and
have you have daddy issues.’ "

It may have started off a little slow, but it’s gotten fan-tas-tic, so hopefully Fox will give them a second season!
