It sounds like Ewan McGregor’s really settled down! He talks about the confidence he’s learned as he grows older, his marriage, and parenting in the June issue of Men’s Health.

Ewan has learned to become less self-conscious with age.

In your 20s, you spend a lot of time being self-conscious about what other people think of you. Then you hit your mid-30s and start to realize they weren’t really thinking about you that much."

LOL! That is so true!

Ewan has been in a "happy marriage" with Eve Mavrakis for 14 years.

From the moment Eve and I met it was right, and I hesitate to explain the reasons behind that.

If you spend too much time ‘working’ on your relationship, I don’t think it’s a relationship worth being in. With Eve, I’ve never had to work. We just have it. I’m in it, she’s in it, and that’s that.

If you’reattracted to someone, you’re comfortable with them and have mutual respect, the rest will take care of itself."

Those sound like pretty wise principles to me, don’t you think?

And as for parenting?

I’m not going to give my girl a pony just because she wants a pony. I don’t even buy them iPods. You have to set limits with children.

Pay attention: I recognize it can be boring to play with young chidren- to tell a story over and over again, let’s say- but the secret is being there. If you’ve made a decision to play with your children, then play with them. Don’t be looking through papers on your desk or sneaking off to the computer. Turn off your BlackBerry. Lose yourself in their world. Even if you do it for a short time, it will mean a lot to you and to them."

Is it a good thing or a bad thing that if you are dating someone on a reality TV show and things don’t work out, you can rely on producers to cast a new boyfriend for you? ‘The City’ star Whitney Port is about to find out.

We’ve heard rumors about this, but now we have confirmation: Whitney’s boyfriend from the first season, Jay Lyon, confirmed to E! Party Girl that he is neither dating Whitney nor is he returning to the show.

‘I couldn’t handle reality television!‘ he said last night at Details and Havaianas Flipside party at MyHouse.”

Jay was spotted “chatt[ing] up lots of eager gals” at this party, so it looks like he’s coping with the split.

And we’ve heard rumors of Whitney dating others, so she’s doing all right.

Who do you think Whitney should date next? Maybe a minor celeb could handle (or would even welcome) the spotlight of reality TV?

"Feud" may be too strong of a word. Yet chef Giada De Laurentiis admits that she and Rachael Ray aren’t exactly the best of friends.

‘Do we hang out all the time? No. Are we best friends? No,’ De Laurentiis tells the June issue of Redbook.

‘But if you’re not best friends, people assume you hate each other,’ continues De Laurentiis, who hosts a new show Giada at Home.

‘We laugh about it,’ De Laurentiis says. ‘We do these festivals
together, and she’ll say to me, ‘Oh, we’d better take a picture
together and smile, because if we don’t, God only knows what’s going to
get written about us.’ She’s a lovely person.’ "

I’m glad to hear this because I love them both! Rachael is fantastic for good everyday recipes, and if you ever want to do something fancier, than Giada’s recipes are the best.

I wondered if this was over the ‘Iron Chef’ defeat Giada suffered when she and Rachael competed against each other, but I thought Giada was a bigger person than that

Well, you can’t say these two aren’t trying to work things out! Sean Penn reportedly filed a request today to dismiss his legal separation case, according to Marin County, CA court records.

‘This appears to imply that they’re reconciling again,’ says L.A.
divorce lawyer Lynn Soodik, who is not involved with the case. ‘It’s
unlikely Sean Penn would request a dismissal for any other reason.’ "

Robin Wright Penn is currently in Cannes as a juror. The couple first filed for divorce in December 2007 after eleven years of marriage but stopped the proceedings in April 2008.

Hopefully these two will be able to work things out!

The internet was abuzz yesterday with talk of Rihanna’s new man, rapper, Drake.

However, Drake is clearing things up with a classic statement:

"It’s not like that at all. I’m being honest. [She's] just a friend, that’s all. A great artist."

When asked if he was absolutely sure nothing was going on between them, he responded,

"Nothing at all. I have the most respect for her. I think she’s so talented."

Good to know. Now we just have to wonder if Drake is actually telling the truth, seeing as how statements from celebs these days don’t mean anything! Do you believe him?
