Sienna Miller Isn’t Upset About Losing Out On Maid Marian Role

Sienna Miller says Cate Blanchett will make a “better” Maid Marian.
The British star – who was initially lined up to appear in the forthcoming
Ridley Scott blockbuster ‘Robin Hood’ – is not bitter about losing the part
because she believes the 40-year-old actress is “more suitable”.
“There was nothing salacious. The script kept changing and
evolving, to the point where I was no longer appropriate for it. Cate’s 10
years older than me, which is more suitable for the script.
“If they’d recast it with Keira Knightley, I’d have been heartbroken, but
they’ve gone for something different – and better, in my opinion. If I had
the choice between Cate Blanchett and me, I’d go for Cate Blanchett!”
Sienna also admitted she believes the public has a “vendetta” against her.
She explained to Total Film magazine:
“There were several people supposed to
be doing the film who no longer are, but because it’s me it becomes this
enormous drama. Is it a British thing? I don’t know. I think it’s a Sienna
thing! There’s just a vendetta against – I don’t know.”
Yikes!!
Meanwhile, the 27-year-old beauty says she needs to be more vigilant with
her movie role choices.
Films take two-and-a-half years to come out. I understand why I
made them at the time but I’m absolutely not there now. I have to be more
strategic in the choices I make.”
Could she be talking about the upcoming G.I. Joe movie?

Well, I like her if for no other reason than she gets too much blame for these relationships.
You’re an idiot, Sienna behaves as if she has done nothing wrong. She constantly lashes out at the press and everyone for commenting on the relationship. Both she and Balthazar are equally at fault for not being discreet about their liaison. Relationships end all of the time however, the way one behaves especially when there are children involved shows your true character.
Sienna gets more slack because she just won’t stop playing the victim, won’t take resposibility for her actions, keeps trying to perpetuate the notion that she is suffering more than the married man’s wife and kids/that they are not suffering at all, and keeps rubbing the affair in the face of the married man’s family. People are not being mean to SM, they are just holding her to the same standard that she imposed on JL nanny. Why should things be different for her now that she is the other woman?
I don’t think she should talk to media and it wasn’t nice to say that Cate is older than her so that’s why she isn’t upset about loosing out on the role.
Cate is brilliant actress and very beautiful woman , and she’s also a mother.
Don’t try to compare youself with Cate please, Sienna.
If you work harder and talk less you might repair your public image one day.

THANK YOU. I understand why some women think “Well the other woman shouldn’t have dropped her pants” etc, but these same people STILL don’t blame the man NEARLY as much as the woman, EVER. No matter what the scenario, the majority of women always blame the other woman, and rarely say much, if anything, about the man. Hell, I’m not too sure what the women’s movement was all about; we don’t need men holding us back, we do a fantastic job of it ourselves. Women are too concerned with getting & keeping a man and not nearly as concerned with being a strong independent woman (which you can be even in a relationship; they aren’t mutually exclusive.) This is not to say I condone Sienna’s actions, but I don’t place the blame on her, I blame Balthazar – you know, the man who was MARRIED? The man who has FOUR CHILDREN? The man who should have been strong enough to stay faithful but wasn’t – that man? THAT’S who I blame. If only more women put the blame where it belongs, on the cheater, we’d (women) be far better off, but we’ll always let men control & dictate us. Shame, because we could (and can) be so much stronger.
And don’t give me that bullshit about men being “too weak” to resist another woman – I don’t know about you, but I tend to give men a bit more credit than that. And those who don’t deserve that credit, those that DO act on their impulses – they’re of no use to me anyway.

If you sleep with a married man…you’re gonna get some blame. Everyone has a choice. She chose poorly.
I completely agree with you in the sense that Balthazar should shoulder most of the blame. But she is to blame as well. When a man is married, you just don’t have a relationship with him. You JUST. DON’T. If a married man hits on you, you walk away. It’s NEVER ok to start a relationship with someone who is married. It works both ways.
She gets more flack than he did because she is more of a paparazzi attraction than he is. He tried to remain under the radar after they got caught. They are equally guilty. He is easier to forgive because he doesn’t come off as an arrogant bitch in his quotes.
I think Cates classic look is perfect for the role.
People are too quick to judge. It’s not like the media has revealed every aspect of Sienna’s life. To me she is a pretty good actress. She is great in “The edge of love”. While I do think it takes two to cheat, I also think monogamy is a flawed concept. I am not willing to give up on it nor do I think it should be tossed, but everyone must accept that it’s not bulletproof, it happens very often and men aren’t the only ones being unfaithful. As someone said above, we don’t even know if he was already broken up with his ex but not yet divorced. As for flaunting breasts, I was once in England taking a course and me and my colleagues went swimming in the river, in the morning. Once we arrived, there were lots of other people there, even families, and this Londoner pal of mine just took her shirt off casually like it’s no big deal. No one seeemed to care. So there you go. I like Sienna because I don’t see her as a poser like Megan Fox, for instance, or a complete brainless girl like Paris who has only sex appeal and nothing more. She seems to me to be authentic enough.

When news broke that she was of Nottingham we were told that it was because Sienna was to young and beautiful to act next to fat, old Russel and that the producers were now looking for someone older and more fat. Plurabel, what you say about monogamy is all well and good, all relationships aren’t perfect and hit potholes, but the thing about Sienna is she has whined about and milked Jude’s affair into the dirt, until people are pretty much laughing at her for talking about it at this point. She keeps it alive in the media when it suits her purpose. So…if that’s what she does to the person she wasn’t even married to, then how much more judgment does she herself deserve for own behavior? And that’s the very reason why she gets shit from me. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again “YOU GET WHAT YOU GIVE,” and that’s why it’s happening to her. b. Start doing some halfway decent acting and let your work be your publicity. You should try it sometime, it just might take you where you want to go.

If I had a dollar for every time I hear women say “Is not her fault that he chose to cheat, she didn’t force him he cheated because he wanted to” or my favorite “she is not the one who is married, he is”. We women should have a little more respect for each other, but we don’t. Women are willing to stab another woman in the back, all for the sake of getting a man. Is true, Sienna and women like her are not the ones who are married or responsible to the marriage; but we women should be a little more respectful of each other and not drop our panties at the sight of a man’s erect penis. It takes TWO to cheat, self-respecting women do not sleep with married men. It’s not like we say oh Sienna’s a slut but Balthazar- he’s the victim- no their both scum and they both walk around acting like they did nothing wrong and I have equal amount of disrespect for them both.

Reading these comments make me sad. I don’t know why it’s always the woman’s fault. I just clicked out of another blog where everybody was blaming Kate Gosselin for obviously driving her husband to cheat, and she deserved it.

I think the reason Sienna is “roasted over the coals” is because of the way she blatantly exposed her breast on a yacht with Balthazar. Ran around with him and BOTH showed the world, no remorse or respect for the wife or more important the kids. Yes, people cheat and it takes two to do it, but you have to remember; when a spouse cheats on his partner, they are not only cheating on the husband or wife but also the kids. Children are ALSO hurt by infidelity, the public is upset are their blatant disregard for Balthazar’s family. Flaunting your exposed breast and running around with your married lover leaves a bad taste in everyone’s mouth.
She’s treated this way because she never takes responsibility for the mistakes she’s made. Everything that happens to her is not her fault. She is the perpetual victim in the situation she finds herself in. She needs to grow up.

Exactly. In my opinion, Cate Blanchett is the best of the best. She’s a tremendously talented actress and a class act. She’s one of the few, that no matter what movie they do, I’ll go see it.
