Astoria Park – Music Night
Posted on July 30, 2009 at 9:21 PM
Growing up in Astoria, my mother used to take me to free music night every Thursday during the summer months. Today was the first day I brought my children. There wasn’t as many people as I remember, but it was still just as fun.
The kids enjoyed it until the ice cream ran out… LOL. I think we lasted about 1.5 hours – which is a lot for them I suppose.
I do wish I lived closer to my family…not that 30 minutes is really that far to drive. But I would love to be in the same town as everyone. It will never be though. My grandmother has too much of a social life. She would NEVER leave Astoria and I am pretty happy where I am.
So is life.
Love It Or Hate It: Kim Kardashian
Posted on July 30, 2009 at 9:12 PM

Kim Kardashian isn’t letting her surprise break-up with Reggie Bush slowing her down. She was spotted in NYC, both to visit ‘It’s On with Alexa Chung’ but also just to enjoy some downtime (she was spotted going out to dinner). Good for her!
What do you think of the shoulder-less blouse? And the loose pants? This outfit seems revealing in a different way for Kim.

Megan Fox Has Had Enough
Posted on July 30, 2009 at 8:19 PM

Megan Fox is sick and tired the ongoing comparisons between herself and Angelina Jolie as a compliment, even if many people consider Angelina one of the most beautiful women in the world.
“I think it’s cause she has tattoos really, I think a lack of creativity on the media’s part,” Megan explains to Pop Tarts.
“I am a brunette with tattoos, I curse and I have made mention of sex before. I joked about it which people find outrageous so they want to constantly compare that to her,” she says. “You know Shia [LaBeouf] is the new Tom Hanks, Rihanna is the new Beyonce. Everybody is the new somebody although none of us are any of those people so you just walk around with it you live with it.”
Jon Voight, Angelina’s estranged father, seconds this notion.
“Megan is herself and Angelina is herself. No one is comparable; everyone in the world is unique,” Jon said at the recent Transformers premiere in L.A. “That’s the great thing about it, but of course they’re two very beautiful women.”
I can understand Megan’s feelings. She is an up-and-coming movie star in her own right, and who doesn’t want to be their own person?
Yet I have to admit, from their looks to their personas, they do seem a lot alike to me. Sorry Megan!
What do you think?

Ashley Tisdale Singing ‘It’s Alright, It’s Ok’

Ashley Tisdale stopped by AOL sessions to record intimate performances of ‘It’s Alright, It’s OK’ off her new album Guilty Pleasure. The pop songstress also answered questions about her sophomore release, meeting Michael Jackson and staying in touch with the rest of the High School Musical cast.

Must- See PHOtos!

Seth Rogen and Judd Apatow still haven’t forgotten (or, apparently, forgiven) ‘Knocked Up’ costar Katherine Heigl for her criticism of their film in a Vanity Fair interview, where Katherine said ‘Knocked Up’ "paints the women as shrews," while the men look "lovable." She added, "It was hard for me to love the movie."
Seth says Katherine’s new movie, ‘The Ugly Truth,’ doesn’t make women look any better.
Have you seen’‘Knocked Up’ and/or ‘The Ugly Truth’? What did you think about how women were portrayed?
