Jessica Simpson Gives Up Hope

Posted on September 18, 2009 at 6:23 PM

How heartbreaking! Jessica Simpson has called off the search for her beloved dog, Daisy, who had been missing since Sunday night.

Jessica had the group Find Toto helping to try and find her but the search has concluded and there are no leads.

A Find Toto spokesman said:

“They were upset and hoping to find at least the remains to try and get some closure by this weekend,” Busch adds. “We offered to continue the search for her but they weren’t going ahead with anything.”

I can only imagine how upsetting this is for her. :( I’m sure they were hoping for a miracle.

  1. I feel so bad for her. She really loved that dog and took her almost everywhere. My heart goes out to her. If anything happened to my little furbabies, I’d be a sobbing mess.

  2. Gut wrenching—my heart goes out to Jess—and to that sweetheart of a doggie—I have been watching Daisy grow up and go everywhere with Jess and this is horribly sad.
We have problems with coyotes here in Canada-and here on our farm-and I guard our two small dogs with my life ..I cant imagine how Jess is coping..
    Sadness

  3. Did she really think she was going to find “remains” of the dog? It was taken by another animal… HELLOOOOO. Moron.

  4. I can’t imagine what she is going through. All the people that are saying horrible things about her are just evil and jealous and probably very unhappy in their own lives. She needs to take time and grieve. Just a horrible tragedy. Things could be worse- of course- and things will get better so she just needs to stay strong. The love of her dog is a strong and precious bond. I’m really sad for her and will keep her in my prayers.

  5. Isn’t “carmel” suppost to be written “caramel”? I’m pretty sure the first is a city in california and not a COLOR. Ahh these blondes…

  6. hey. good lesson on natural habitats and the food chain for jessica. her career is for s.hit. she should go get herself educated. learn something new. learn how to change a flat tire. anything. ditzzy to the maxximumm. maybe she thought the coyote was holding the pup hostage. doggie was lunch within 5 minutes of the snatch. she’s got such a great rack i forgive her for being so so dumbb

  7. Jessica is an idiot. who did she think was gonna call in a tip? a freaking coyote? if you see your dog in a coyotes mouth chances are it is dead. not to be harsh…but it is the truth. people who live in areas were coyotes have been known to frequent MUST be responsible and bring their animals in at dusk.

  8. :( I would die if this happened to my dog. Thanks for updating us Vera. I was hoping for a miracle too. :( ((((

  9. It is always heartbreaking to lose a pet. In many ways they are better than people. Seriously. Unfortunately, this is what coyotes do. It is how they survive. People who own small pets and live in areas with natural predators should pay attention and take the necessary precautions to protect their pets. If you do not have the presence of mind to do so – YOU SHOULD NOT OWN A PET.

  10. omg, no… i would not assume she is dead until she is found, despite the fact that she was taken by a coyote. Soo sad. Pets are so dear to us.

  11. No!! Not yet :( Thanks for asking, sweet kiddo!! I know he will come home though….. he is just out endlessly exploring ;)

  12. Vera, Jessica is NOT responsible for Daisy getting snatched by coyotes. It was her mom TINA, WHO WASN’T CLOSE TO DAISY WHEN SHE GOT SNATCHED BY COYOTES ACCORDING TO JANET CHARLTON HOLLYWOOD!! JESSICA FOR SOME ODD REASON SAID THAT DAISY WAS TAKEN IN FRONT OF HER EYES, WHEN IN REALITY SHE WAS FILMING HER REALITY SHOW. RIP DAISY!!!
