Kate Winslet was snapped out and about shopping in NYC today. She always looks so comfortable but stylish.

I wonder if Kate is enjoying some much-deserved time off. The only new project listed for her on IMDB is the “in development” Mildred Pierce. Not that it necessarily means she isn’t busy working on something else!

I wonder what Kate thinks about James Cameron‘s announcement at Comic Con that Titanic will be getting “the 3D treatment“? I’m really excited about this. I don’t even care if it’s in 3D – just to have the chance to see it on the big screen again is exciting!

Yesterday we had some old footage of Lady Gaga performing and today it’s Katy Perry‘s turn! This video surfaced today of Katy, known then as Katy Hudson, playing a gig in 2001.

I can’t over how different she looks! It’s amazing what a difference a few years and a team of stylists/managers/etc. can make, right? She sure can rock the guitar!

The Osbournes have been sharing a lot of family news via Twitter this week.

Sharon Osbourne is bursting at the seams with pride over daughter Kelly’s performances on Dancing With the Stars. She tweeted several times encouraging followers to vote for Kelly and also about being unable to sleep:

So nervous for @MissKellyO tonight! I didn’t sleep all night. I was a pushy mother and was thrown out of DWTS yesterday. Vote Kelly tonight!

Today she shared:

Thank you to everyone who voted for Kelly on DWTS! My wild child has turned into a beautiful young woman.

How sweet.

And Kelly’s dad, Ozzy Osbourne, tweeted about finally being licensed to drive!

I just passed my driving test. Took me 60 yrs but I did it! For the 1st time in my life I’m legal to drive, so watch out!

I wonder if Sharon taught him or if he took a private course?

I love when actors behave or do something completely out of the “norm”/opposite of their true personality. Matt Damon is rumored to be playing himself on an upcoming episode of Entourage, trying to direct “Vince” (played by Adrian Grenier) in a public service spot for his charity OneXOne.org – which is a charity that Matt is involved with in real life – and he loses his cool. With Jeremy Piven also shown on set, I’d guess that it is for Entourage and not just a prank (or real as some might claim).

It’s just so funny because Matt always seems like such a “Mr. Nice Guy”. It reminds me of Natalie Portman’s SNL skit. (also NSFW)

The new season of The City premieres on Tuesday night and change is on the horizon: Roxy Olin, Whitney Port’s high school friend, is moving in.

Roxy chatted about how well she knows Whitney:

I met Whitney when we were in high school. I’ve grown up with Whitney and I danced with her for four years in high school, and our boyfriends were best friends, so we were always friends. We went our separate ways, but we reconnected instantly. We hang out everyday.

She says that the editing may be a bit slanted:

They’re only showing one part of who I am. They make me out to be a little b–, but I’m not really at all. And Whitney is one of my best friends in the world. We live together and we’re really close, and I think having that relationship with her and having her show me the way was okay.

I found this to be really interesting – she is currently working on Brothers & Sisters – Roxy’s dad is a producer on the show, her mom (Patricia Wettig) is an actress on the show and her brother writes for the show! How funny! Although it sounds like it was a bit frustrating being the daughter of the producer:

When I first got there, the boys, I thought were all so cute – Dave Annabelle, Matthew Rhys, Balthazar Getty. I was so excited and I come on for lunch and they all put their heads down and go, “Boss’s daughter. Boss’s daughter.” I was like, “Damn it!” Every time I put on some outfit, they go, “Boss’s daughter,” and close their eyes

Although she can’t complain too much – she had some terrific scenes with Sex & the City’s Jason Lewis:

I got to make out with Jason Lewis. I was so nervous. It was my first time to have to kiss on-screen and of course, it’s with the hottest guy from Sex and the City ever. I had a full-blown panic attack. My brother’s on set and I was like, “Oh my God.” But I survived and I’m like, yea, I made out with Jason Lewis.

Lucky girl!!

Whitney Port was spotted leaving PIX11 Studios. She was there to promote ‘The City,’ which is starting up again. You have to hand it to Whitney for never being afraid to take fashion risks: mixing patterns is not for the faint of heart. What do you think of this one?

Amanda Seyfried was spotted out and about in New York City. She is very low-key in a blazer and flats. The bag is a nice, but still low-key, accessory, don’t you think? Are you interested in her next film, ‘Chloe,’ with Julianne Moore?
