Ryan Reynolds is anxious to get to work on both of his upcoming superhero roles. He’ll star as DC’s Green Lantern and also as Marvel’s Deadpool. He shared some limited information with Jimmy Fallon:

“[We're] four, five months away from beginning shooting,” he said of “Green Lantern.” “It’s the only job I’ve ever had that I’m not allowed to talk about. I think there’s a representative from Warner Bros. who I’m sure is following me around, ready to blow-dart me if I say a single word.”

It must be hard to not be able to give anything away. I would slip up at some point! All he could share is this tidbit:

“A lot of it is a space epic, some of it is on planet Earth,” he said, explaining the abilities of his character, Hal Jordan, come from a potential-filled power ring. “The ring can create anything his will or imagination can conjure up.”

I wonder if there’s any superhero rivalry going on at home? LOL Since he’ll be doing these two and Scarlett is also jumping into her own lycra costume as the Black Widow in Iron Man.

Ryan also talks about looking himself up online and shares a few sites he found:

“I found a couple of Web sites that are real – one was, ‘Make Ryan Reynolds your beyotch.’”

Can you imagine finding a site like that about yourself? He also found BeatingRyanReynolds.com, which is dedicated to beating Ryan’s New York City Marathon time.

“He’s basically running the marathon only to beat my time, but the kicker is, he’s doing it for the Michael J. Fox Foundation, so he’s actually a stand-up guy in my opinion,” Ryan said, explaining that he had also run the marathon for the charity.

Today Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt took some time to spend the day with displaced Iraqi families living in Damascus, Syria. As UNHCR‘s Goodwill Ambassador, Angelina wants to bring attention to the plight of the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi refugees who have been displaced to Syria since the war began in 2003. The two also met with Syrian president Bashar al-Assad to discuss health care and education.

“It is clear that the Syrian people, no matter the challenges or difficulties they may face, have always shown generous hospitality to people in need,” said Jolie, who last visited the area in 2007. “I hope that the rest of the world recognizes that we all have to share this burden and continue to take care of Iraqi refugees.”

I love that they are involved with so many good causes.

In a recent interview Stephen Moyer (HBO’s True Blood) revealed a mishap with a text message he sent.

“I once accidentally messaged one of my friends something meant for a girlfriend, and it was incredibly inappropriate,” “It was a proposal of sorts, to go and do something in a park. It was rather filthy, so I’ve since got used to triple-checking before I send texts now.”

Isn’t technology wonderful? Have you ever sent a text or email to the wrong recipient? Was it embarrassing?

He also commented on a problem that he has in common with Robert Pattinson:

“Robert Pattinson and I are probably the only people where the first thing people say is, ‘Bite me,’” “Sometimes they try and bite me, which is weird.”

I bet they’ll be sharing that problem with Ian Somerhalder & Paul Wesley of The Vampire Diairies soon enough!

Poor Beyonce just can’t seem to shake negative press sometimes. Even though it’s her father and not her – it’s still scandal that will be linked to her by association. TMZ is reporting that Mathew Knowles, Beyonce’s father, has been hit with a paternity suit. The woman, Alexsandra Wright, is allegedly 6 months pregnant and is claiming that Mathew is the father. Sources are saying she hired lawyer Neal Hersh (who’s also handling Lamar Odom‘s prenup negotiations).

Mathew & Tina Knowles have been married for 29 years.

Lady Gaga was seen arriving to Billboard’s 4th annual Women In Music event in New York City. She’s going to be receiving the “Rising Star” honor tonight. Beyonce is also attending and will be “crowned” Woman of the Year! What an honor for them both!

“We just mutually decided to cancel the tour, but I’m still going on tour this November,”
“I’ll be leaving only a week later,” Gaga said.

A mother on TV, that is! Rumors are flying that Rachel Bilson has been cast as THE mother on How I Met Your Mother!

According to E!Online:

A show rep confirms to us that Rachel has been picked for the potentially pivotal part,

but they add:

Bilson’s rep tells us that she’s only signed on to appear in the one episode.

I am a huge fan of the show, so this is exciting gossip!!! I will admit that I was really hoping last season that Sarah Chalke was “the one” but I think Rachel would be a fantastic addition to the show – whether she is the mother or just a guest star!
