Joel Madden was being honored last night at the Nobel Awards for his work with The Art of Elysium. Although he humbly accepted the award, which was presented to him by Nicole Richie and her father, Lionel, he had this to say about it:

“They are just as much a part of it,” he said. “Nicole does just as much as I do with Art of Elysium and all the charities we work with. And so does Benj – Benj actually does more then I do, and he plays the guitar better then I do, so he is a little more entertaining for the kids.”

Joel also discussed his love of kids:

“I love kids, I love working with kids, I love being around kids,” he said at the Noble Awards in Beverly Hills on Sunday.

When asked how Harlow was enjoying being a big sister to new brother Sparrow, Joel said she’s doing great.

“She loves it. She’s so happy, she’s just psyched,” he said. “She totally gets it. It fit in perfectly there – hasn’t been a hitch.”

Awww. There’s something so great about a guy who openly gushes about enjoying charity work with kids and his love of his family.

Ellen Page and Leonardo DiCaprio were hard at work today on the set of their sci-fi thriller Inception. The two were filming in Los Angeles with director Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight), who also wrote the script.

The only description offered up on IMDB about the movie is this:

A CEO-type becomes involved in a blackmailing scandal

Look how tiny she is compared to Leo and she even has a bit of a heel on her boots! Do you plan to see the movie? I enjoy both of them, so it’s pretty likely that I’ll see it.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck returned to The View today after being on maternity leave with her third child, Isaiah. She shared a small embarrassing moment with the ladies (and audience) on The View.

“I had just been feeding him, and I took the photo, he had this huge, huge smile, and it was the cutest picture, so immediately I forward it to everyone in my family distribution list-my mom, my dad, my brother, Tim’s dad, his brother, his mom, his other brother-and I sent it to myself, ’cause I’m on the list. So I get home and I open up the photo to see my cute little guy. No wonder why he’s smiling because my nipple is in the photo!”

She also shared (joked) about regretting the name they chose:

“I just can’t believe I named him Isaiah, ’cause he’ll never be able to spell his own name,” she laughed. He’s gonna totally fail kindergarten!”

*NSYNC fans may have reason to dig out their old memorabilia, including the bobble heads shown in the picture above (circa 2001). Former bandmate Chris Kirkpatrick shared that there’s no reason to rule out a possible reunion! Probably not anytime real soon, but there’s still a chance:

“You never know what the future holds. Anything could happen,” says Kirkpatrick, 38, who now fronts the pop/rock band Nigels 11. “We’re all just being ourselves for a little while.”

“I think when the stars are aligned, the time is right, and all five of us have our heads on straight and know the direction we’re going as a band, it’ll eventually happen. If not, I know we’ll be best friends forever.”

Lance Bass had talked about this very thing about a year ago.

Beyonce has delayed a planned tour stop in Malaysia amid accusations by Islamic conservatives that the show would be too “immoral”.

The show “has been postponed to a future date to be announced shortly,” Malaysian entertainment company Marctensia said in a statement.

“The postponement is solely (the) decision of the artist and has nothing to do with other external reasons,” the statement said.

Beyonce also canceled a performance back in 2007 after there were threats of a protest. She wound up doing the show in Indonesia instead, where the rules are a little less strict.

According to Access Hollywood, other performers just choose less-revealing costumes for their show:

Other female pop stars such as Avril Lavigne and Gwen Stefani have performed in Malaysia despite similar protest threats by conservative Muslims. Both singers wore clothes that revealed little skin.

Do you think Beyonce will change her mind and go with less risque stage costumes? I’m sure her Malaysian fans hope so, if this is the real reason for the “delay” and/or possible cancellation.
