I hope Aaron Carter’s gig on‘ Dancing With The Stars’ paid well. The singer, who was booted from the show last week, has been handed a hefty bill from the IRS. It turns out that Aaron owes the government $965,284.97 just from 2003! Must’ve been the year when he was in the midst of his popularity. He also owes another $45,350.11 from 2006. Ouch!

Can you imagine getting a bill like that? I wonder how this happens if you hire an accountant to manage your money for you. Unless he didn’t, who knows. How scary, especially if you don’t have the means to pay it. I’m sure Aaron can come up with the money but wow…just crazy.

In other DWTS news, Julianne Hough, who sat out this season, has confirmed that she will not be back for season 9, either.

“No I’m not [coming back] next season,” Hough, 21, told Ryan Seacrest at the New Moon premiere Monday night in Los Angeles.

When Ryan asked if she’d be back the season after that, she simply responded:

“We’re going go cross that bridge when we come to it,” she said.

Christian Siriano was totally surprised by his boyfriend Brad Walsh with a birthday party at The Eldridge in NYC this Saturday. Christian “freaked out” when guests, including Kat DeLuna and Reni Lane of The Like, screamed “SURPRISE!!!” and jumped into Brad’s arms.

The designer snacked on chocolate cupcakes decorated with the adorable mug of Topper, Christian and Brad’s pooch! How cute!

John Mayer’s new album was released today – his first in 3 years. He sat down with the Fuse network to talk about the album and why he chose to work with Taylor Swift for one of his songs.

“Keeping with the Tom Petty context, I’d written a song that was really straight up, melodic, to-the-point chorus and I was thinking that if I, in my little imagination, that I’m Tom Petty when I’m singing this song, then who’s Stevie Nicks?” he tells the Fuse network.

“And I’m very strange about getting other people to perform on my records because I want those records to be around forever and I don’t know what someone else is going to do in their life. I was confident that this was not a gimmick just to sell a record and that was evidence by her coming in and us having a great time in the studio. Where she is is just fantastic.”

Cate Blanchett sat down with Vogue to share about topics such as her career and her relationshiop with her husband, playwright Andrew Upton .

Cate says that she’s not tempted to be cautious with her career choices:

“I’m not very cautious or careful. It’s always been more about having a variety of experiences than any planned trajectory…I think that in a way, projects choose you.”

Cate has spent the last few years performing and directing plays in Sydney, Australia and now she is currently gearing up to play Blanche DuBois in Tennessee William’s ‘A Streetcar Named Desire.’

On her relationship with her husband and the time they spend together in the theater:

“We do live in each others’ pockets a bit, but that feels natural. It doesn’t feel cramped in there at all.”

On the benefits that working regular hours has given their three boys:

‘There are so few experiences in our manicured, nanny-stated existence that have the quality of circus. Theater still does.” And so, when the boys aren’t playing with friends, they can usually be found playing backstage. “They’re always engaged in the family business, so to speak.’”

Cate’s next movie is Robin Hood, due out in May of 2010 and it co-stars Russell Crowe. I look forward to everything she is in. Is she one of your favorites, too?

Lindsay Lohan’s clothing line with Ungaro might have been a bust but she now has her eye on something a little different. She told Access Hollywood:

“[Jeweler] Pascal [Mouawad] and I are actually working together, we’re doing something with a friend who owns bebe,” she said at Pascal’s Nu Pop Movement launch party in West Hollywood. “We’re doing a collection for them and we’re also going to be doing some other things.”

Pascal’s people told Access that it wasn’t finalized.

A Pascal rep told Access on Friday that the new line has yet to be finalized.

But according to E! Online, – the famous jeweler is denying that the two are collaborating.

“This is not happening,” the jeweler said in an email to WWD.

I wonder what happened? Or if this was just a miscommunication?

Lindsay isn’t the only one with her eye on a jewelry line. The Kardashian sisters are working on one, too. The trio will be launching a jewelry line with Virgin Saints and Angels.

The collection embraces our unique style…. Romantic, edgy, and classic vintage… of at least we hope so . Our Armenian culture is very important to us and we tried to incorporate that in the jewelry also,” Kim writes on her official website.

What a difference a year makes. Nikki Reed, Twilight Saga actress who plays vampire Rosalie Hale, says that she feels very differently on the red carpet this time around and she owes it her boyfriend, Paris Latsis. Nikki has been dating Paris (who also happens to be Paris Hilton’s ex) since early summer.

When you date someone who loves the outdoors, it’s inspiring,” “I’ve learned from my boyfriend. I’ve taken on his lifestyle.”

She is embracing this healthier lifestyle and even quit smoking as a result.

“Instead of gaining weight, I lost weight,” she says. “I started going to the gym and taking care of myself. I’m into outdoor sports like hiking, windsurfing, water-skiing. I’m much more active and much happier.”

Nikki also shared that she felt a little less overwhelmed this year on the red carpet.

“Last year, I was like, hyperventilating. I don’t want to say I’ve gotten used to it, but my palms aren’t sweating as much,” she says. “I love walking up to my fans and saying, ‘Thank you for coming.’ It’s more real.”

Sounds like she’s in a very content place in her life. She has always struck me as someone with a very magnetic personality – and just such a genuine person. I’m hoping we get to see her movie “Last Day of Summer” soon; still no official word on a release date for it.
