Oprah Announces Her Show Will End September 9th, 2011

BREAKING! Oprah fans, brace yourself. Miss Winfrey has announced that her show will end on September 9th, 2011. She has no intentions of renewing her contract once this one runs out.
A few weeks ago, it was reported that Oprah might move to cable, which hasn’t officially been ruled out.
My guess is if enough money comes her way, a move wouldn’t be out of the question.
Let’s discuss. Will you miss Oprah if she leaves network? How about television in general?

Oprah seems more driven by success than money. I doubt if money is thrown at her she would continue the show. She’s setting up her own network so she’ll probably just focus on that or bring her show to the network.

No I dont watch her show anymore either. She is just too rich to be in touch with the “common man”. She should take a page from Bill Gates and give most of her money to the world in need. It’s not like she will ever be able to spend it all and she obviously wants to make a difference.
haven’t watched her show in years, so this makes no difference to me.
I don’t watch her either, and haven’t for years. I think it is time she moves on and away from the channels I get on my cable package.

Hopefully she’ll keep up the good works for others on her new network. That would really be the only reason I’d be sad to see her show leave the air.

Doesn’t she have her own station on XM radio? I wonder if she’s going to have her own TV channel. She certainly doesn’t need the cash.
Meh! I’d cry if Ellen’s show was about to end, but I couldn’t care less about Oprah.

Her television show is ending, but she still has her XM show and magazine. Not that big of a deal, to me.
