The trailer for Robert Pattinson’s latest movie, Remember Me, debuted this weekend – attached to the New Moon showings. The movie doesn’t come out until March of 2010, but Summit wanted the fan girls to get an advanced sneak peek.

A drama centered on two lovers whose newfound relationship is threatened as they try to cope with their respective family tragedies.

The movie also stars Emilie de Ravin, Pierce Brosnan, and Martha Plimpton. Also, in this is Chris Cooper, who you might recognize as the dad next door in American Beauty.

Jake Gyllenhaal is out on the promotional tour for his new movie, Brothers. He shared with Extra what he thinks about dealing with the paparazzi.

“It’s a part of the job, and there are days that are easier than other days,” continued Gyllenhaal. “In terms of a funny guy jumping out of the corner somewhere and catching a photo of you, it just goes along with it.”

“I can’t say anything bad about it,”

He really sounds like a good sport about it. There aren’t very many actors who take it in stride like this. Although, Jake & Reese are pretty good at staying under the radar and out of the tabloids most of the time.

The Extra interview will be airing tonight, along with his co-stars, Natalie Portman and Tobey Maguire.

Ashley Greene was photographed outside of the Ed Sullivan Theater, arriving for a taping of the Late Show with David Letterman. I’m guessing she’s there to talk Twilight Saga: New Moon. Did you see some of the records that the film broke over the weekend? Crazy stuff!

Mariah Carey is set to receive an award for her acting. The 21st Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards gala will be presenting Mariah with their Breakthrough Performance Award! The award is for her role as a social worker in ‘Precious: Based on the Novel Push By Sapphire’.

“We’re delighted to be able to present the Breakthrough Performance Award to the extraordinary, very beautiful and versatile Mariah Carey, who, in a critically acclaimed role, completely transformed herself from a glamorous music icon to a forthright social worker for the role of Ms. Weiss in ‘Precious,’” festival chairman Harold Matzner said.

Past recipients of the award include Jennifer Hudson and Marion Cotillard – both actresses went on to win an Oscar.

Shooting for the next season of VH1′s Celebrity Fit Club has wrapped up and Shar Jackson talked to UsMagazine.com about participating with her ex (and Britney’s), Kevin Federline.

“I think everybody will be very, very shocked to see the end results,

Shar was able to share that she and Kevin

“both made it to the end.”

She also shared that they didn’t do any sort of teaming up on the show.

“He was on his journey and I was on mine,”

She said they both survived Harvey, though:

“survived the Harvey [E. Walden IV] boot camp,” she said of the show’s hard-charging coach. “You can’t even imagine the stuff that this man put us through . . . very painful!”

The new season of the show will begin in airing in January. I have to admit that I’m mildly curious to see the show, at least a few episodes.

Regis Philbin announced today that he would be taking a break from his show, Live With Regis & Kelly. Regis will be off for a little over a month while he recuperates from hip surgery.

I wish Regis a speedy recovery!

Usually they have a variety of co-host fill-ins when one of them is off. I’m curious to see if they’ll have several celebrities filling in or just one person the entire time? Who would you love to see co-hosting with Kelly Ripa? I think Peter Facinelli would be someone fun to have on there! He’s so personable and down-to-earth, and has a great sense of humor! What celebs do you think would make fun co-hosts?
