Kate Gosselin To Release Third Book

Posted on February 08, 2010 at 6:58 PM

Kate Gosselin has already had two books on the best seller’s list: Multiple Blessings and Eight Little Faces. She’s now gearing up to release a third, titled ‘I Just Want You to Know: Letters to My Kids on Love, Faith and Family’.

According to People, the book will feature snippets from her journal, prayers and eight letters – one for each of her children.

Kate shared this in a statement:

Each day the thought crosses my mind that when they get older, my kids are going to look back and think about how they were raised,” Gosselin says in a statement. “I know they will have a lot of questions about things that may not make sense because they were raised so unconventionally. I don’t want them to grow up and wonder; I want them to know without a shadow of a doubt how much I love them and how much every sacrifice made was worth it for them.”

The book is set for release on April 13. Have you read either of Kate’s previous books? Will you check out the new one?

Elisha Cuthbert Joins Christian Slater On ‘The Forgotten’

Posted on February 08, 2010 at 6:13 PM

Elisha Cuthbert is set to team up with Christian Slater once again. Elisha is set to co-star on Christian’s new drama mystery series “The Forgotten” on ABC. The two previously starred together in the 2007 movie “He Was a Quiet Man”.

The show is about finding the identities of “Jane and John Does”.

Slater: When we started the show I really didn’t have any knowledge that there are people out there who do what we do. But there are real people like you and me, volunteers, who are willing to go that extra mile to give these families that closure that they desperately need.I started to hear about different organizations like [Project] Edan, which stands for Everyone Deserves a Name, and NamUs.gov [The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System], which has actually been very influential in solving recent Jane and John Doe cases. When we started, I had a feeling that we had a real opportunity here to do something significant and really solve some real cases or at least play a part. I’m thrilled and honored and humbled to say that that started to happen.

The show has helped a family find the identity of their loved one!

There’s a real women, Paula Davis, who went missing in 1987. Her sister was watching an episode of ‘The Forgotten’; she stayed tuned to watch the PSA, which ABC was gracious enough to play after the show, and she went on that Web site and was able to identify her sister who has been missing for the past 20 years. On Dec. 11, Paula Davis was positively identified.

Elisha is pretty proud to be a part of something so powerful:

The fact that [Paula Davis] was identified by a tattoo, a unique tattoo on her body, something that we touched on in filming and in some of the episodes, is remarkable. To think that not only are we having a great time making a TV show together, but we’re being accurate and we’re helping other people — that’s a bonus.

Elisha was asked if she was shooting for both ‘The Forgotten’ and ’24′ at the same time:

Cuthbert: My commitments are here for ‘The Forgotten.’ I finished up the work that I had to do over at ’24′ so I’m happy to say that I have all my energy and time for ‘The Forgotten.’ It’s been great so that’s what I’ve been focusing on.

Are you watching this show? Elisha’s debut on the show will be tomorrow night.

Jennifer Garner Playing Finders Keepers?

Posted on February 08, 2010 at 5:23 PM

Jennifer Garner was snapped as she headed to an office building in Beverly Hills today. The actress swooped down to pick up a lens cap and kept going without missing a beat. See the shots below in the gallery.

Do you think she handed it to the photographer? Maybe she started a collection of paparazzi lens caps? haha.

Jennifer is part of the ‘Valentine’s Day’ cast – the movie finally opens this Friday. Are you going to see it?

Charlie Sheen’s Court Hearing Results

Posted on February 08, 2010 at 4:46 PM

Charlie Sheen was due in an Aspen courtroom today to find out what charges would be filed in the Christmas disturbance that lead to his arrest. Three counts were filed against him: felony menacing and two misdemeanors: 3rd degree assault and criminal mischief. His next court date is March 15.

The judge also agreed to change the protective order so Charlie and his wife, Brooke Mueller, can contact each other, but he’s still not allowed to drink alcohol, harass Brooke or possess firearms.

Do you think the judge will drop most of the charges in Charlie’s case?

‘Fringe’s’ Anna Torv Gets Comfortable For Esquire

Posted on February 08, 2010 at 4:43 PM

Australian-born Anna Torv is March’s cover girl for Esquire magazine and she shared a few things about herself.

The ‘Fringe’ actress says she doesn’t feel men are nervous around her:

I don’t find guys nervous around me. But maybe guys don’t talk to me if they’re nervous.

She shares her favorite Aussie treat:

I just can’t bear to swallow Vegemite, and I don’t know how people do it. It’s revolting. If you want to try something from Australia, go with Tim Tams. They’re sweet chocolate biscuits.

Anna shares some trials of learning American phrases:

Sometimes there will be a line in the script and I just can’t imagine saying it. I’ll ask an American and they’ll say, “Oh, yeah. That’s how we say it.” We just say things differently in Australia – like torch. I’d ask, “Can I have the torch?” It seems to fall flat when I say, “Can I have the flashlight?”

On whether she finds love scenes difficult to do:

That sex scene in The Pacific? You don’t get that on Fringe, do you? I don’t think anyone finds them easy. It’s not that I’m embarrassed about my boobs. It’s just that some part of you really doesn’t want that out there. At the same time, you want to get good at it. In the moment, what you’re really thinking is, S**t, I need a mint.
