While ‘American Idol’ judge Simon Cowell is moving full-steam ahead with his wedding plans, former ‘American Idol’ contestant Carrie Underwood is struggling a little. Luckily, there are wedding planners to help- lol. Carrie, who’s engaged to NHL player Mike Fisher, admitted in a radio interview that it’s a challenge to plan their wedding.

She told CMT Radio Live DJ Cody Alan: “There’s a lot going on. They are still in the season. They actually only have a few more season games left. I’m touring until the end of June, and have a few shows in July, so we’re working on it here and there. We have a few things coming along.”

But that doesn’t mean Carrie doesn’t have some ideas about what she wants She wants the wedding to be mostly traditional with a few modern twists.

“We’re kind of doing cupcakes I consider myself a very traditional person. More than anything, we’re going to get married, that’s the important part. And we want everyone to have a good time, so we’re doing some things like that, that are a little bit different.”

I’ve seen people do that: those multi-tiered displays can be as pretty as wedding cakes.

Carrie also said although Mike did get her a “stunning” engagement ring, it wasn’t necessary.

“He could have put a twisty-tie on my finger and that would have worked.”

Perhaps, but I bet the ring is A LOT more fun- lol.
