‘Transformers’ star and now ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’ star Shia LaBeouf admitted to the press in Cannes that it wasn’t easy for him to do his latest role.

“I’m the ‘Transformers’ kid. Look who’s up here [with me] — this is a very intimidating squad; kill squad,” Shia told the press at the pre-screening press conference. “I felt like I was playing with the all-star team.

“I was coming out of a place in my life that was pretty dark, and I didn’t have a whole lot of confidence personally,” he continued. “I felt the only way I could have confidence — which is the only job requirement for these men [in the film] — was to be as astute as I possibly could. These men embraced me.”

“The kill squad”… YIKES! I guess he was feeling intimidated if he was thinking like that. It sounds like it all worked out in the end, thank goodness I, for one, Can’t Wait to see ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.’

Making a rare joint public appearance (or does it just feel rare to me?), Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen posed on the red carpet together at the Free Arts 12th Annual Auction Benefit in New York.

I used to think they were identical, but as adults they’ve clearly developed their own styles. I think they both look good, though. Some people have written that they seem to have “dressed for a funeral” here, which seems a bit harsh to me.

‘The City’ star (and former ‘The Hills’ cast member) Whitney Port confessed that she’s baffled about what’s going on with her former co-stars.

“I feel like they’re all self-imploding or something… I’m just in shock,” about all the drama on this season’s The Hills.

While Whitney wouldn’t name names, she said “I don’t know how it go so out of control… I think they’re just going crazy. I don’t want to say so much because I feel like they’re going to attack me,” she says.

Hmmm… who could she be talking about? LOL

As for her own drama with Olivia on ‘The City’?

“she’s gone out of her way to sabotage me, I think she has problem watching anybody else succeed.”

Drama, drama, drama… I guess that’s why people watch

‘Twilight’ and ‘Nurse Jackie’ star Peter Facinelli presented the Inspiration Award to his wife, Jennie Garth, of the original ’90210.’ He talked to Radar Online about it at the event.

“She’s an inspiration to me everyday,” Peter said adoringly about 90210 star Jennie to RadarOnline.com. “I’m presenting the Inspiration Award to my wife and that’s why it is important for me to be here,” he explained.

Does he inspire her too? “Yes,” Jennie told RadarOnline.com but Peter joked that he only inspires her on “Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays.”

Too Sweet! LOVE this couple and their daughters.

‘Something Borrowed’ star Kate Hudson spent yesterday afternoon with her son, Ryder, and a mystery guy whom we’ve seen before (check out the thumbnails in that post). Maybe they’re dating, maybe he’s just a friend. Who knows?

I know Kate is seen as dating a lot, but can you imagine how awkward it would be if every guy you were seen with was assumed to be someone you were dating? Talk about PRESSURE

‘Leap Year’ star Amy Adams looks like she’s about ready to deliver! I’m not sure when she’s due, but she announced her pregnancy in December, so I’m guessing she’s due pretty soon.

Amy confided to Access Hollywood that she struggled a bit with the idea of maternity wear initially.

“It took me awhile [to discover maternity jeans],” Amy told Access…”It’s a big commitment to the bump.”

Well, by now I’m sure “the bump” is a fact of life for Amy- LOL. It is an adjustment, though, isn’t it?
