This is so sad. Dennis Hopper has died after losing his battle with prostate cancer. He was 74 years old and passed away at his home in Venice surrounded by family and friends.

Hopper starred in a host of classic movies including ‘Easy Rider’, ‘Apocalypse Now’, ‘Rebel Without a Cause’ and ‘Blue Velvet’ and also directed several films.

He is survived by four children, adults Marin, Henry and Ruthiana and seven-year-old daughter Galen.

My thoughts are with his family.

I told you yesterday about Heidi Montag’s rep’s announcement that she had split from husband Spencer Pratt.

Is it real? Is it a PR move? I still don’t know, but Heidi reportedly has moved in with a friend named Jennifer Bunney (who appeared on ‘The Hills’). And Jennifer told Radar Online that the two are filming a reality TV show this summer about them living together. ‘The Hills’ 2.0?

“Heidi and I are moving into a Malibu beach house this summer,” Bunney told RadarOnline.com. “We’re really excited to do girly things and show people who we really are and that we’re really fun, sweet and loyal girls.”

Jennifer also supposedly admitted that Heidi and Spencer are not legally separated.

“But, she is moving in with me. It’s just her being able to have some freedom from marriage and for us to work on our friendship and focus on things we want to focus on.”

Hmmm… meanwhile, TMZ reports that Heidi is saying Spencer “held me hostage,” isolating her from all her friends and family.

‘Inferno’ actress Lindsay Lohan was spotted doing some shopping yesterday. Maybe she was looking for more ways to dress up the SCRAM ankle bracelet she’s required to wear?

It looks like she just covered it up with those boots (LOVE them, by the way . At least, I hope the SCRAM bracelet is just covered up. Lindsay doesn’t need the hassle of taking it off. TMZ reports that the DA is “going after Lindsay with a vengeance.”

Sources tell TMZ L.A. County Deputy D.A. Danette Meyers believes the Right On program was covering for Lindsay when it claimed she was in compliance. We’re told Meyers believes the program violated its own rules by giving Lindsay passing marks.

Uh-oh. Hopefully that isn’t true.

Singer Britney Spears was spotted doing some shopping yesterday afternoon. I have to say, this is quite an ensemble, with the hat, summer dress, and boots.

I actually like the hat and think the dress is pretty and summery, but together? I’m not quite sure it works, especially with the boots. Then again, Britney’s put pieces together that most people wouldn’t dare try, so taking risks is commendable

Gwen Stefani bonded with her oldest son, Kingston Rossdale, at the nail salon yesterday afternoon. Sounds like fun! Check out Kingston’s BLACK fingernail polish- LOL.

I wonder if Kingston enjoyed the mani-pedi or just some one-on-one time with Mom? Now that Zuma is around, I’m sure that’s harder to come by!
