Actress Charlize Theron was out and about in Beverly Hills today. She stopped at Bristol Farms and was seen coming out with groceries and a dozen roses (looking amazing, as always).

Charlize has a few projects in the works, but none of the details are available just yet. One of the projects listed is “Hancock 2″ with Will Smith. Were you a fan of the first “Hancock” movie? Would you be excited to see these two pair up again for a sequel?

Orlando Bloom has opened up about his life-long struggle with dyslexia in a lecture series at Rockefeller University. The actor participated in “The Child Mind Institute” lecture, which was part of the Adam Jeffrey Katz Memorial Lecture Series.

Orlando was diagnosed with the learning disability when he was seven:

“I felt like I was a smart kid, I just struggled with aspects of, of getting educated.”

Orlando shared his positive message for kids who are dealing with dyslexia:

“You’re part of a very special club and it’s a gift and don’t let anyone ever tell you that you’re not good enough,” he said. “Don’t ever let anyone tell you that because you struggle with dyslexia that you’re never going to make it in life, because it’s simply not true.”

He said the he spends a lot of time on preparation to help overcome frustrating situations on the job, but admits that he still has moments of struggle:

“I auditioned for something recently and I keep kicking myself about it because I completely dropped the ball,” he explained.

I’m sure it’s more difficult to read scripts and he would have to spend extra time on memorization – I would guess.

Tom Cruise also suffers from dyslexia and has spoken out about it in the past. I think it’s good for kids to see that it can affect anyone. Good for them for being willing to share such a private part of their lives.

Tyler Perry says that he doesn’t have any “inside information” as to why Mariah Carey pulled out of his movie, For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf, at the last minute. He was surprised over the sudden change in plans and jokes that he expects a doctor’s note from her:

“I said, ‘What? You’re kidding me?,’ ” Perry writes in a lighthearted new letter to his fans. “It’s five days before she has to go to work; nobody does that. We have a deal. I was told that we got a call, saying that even though our deal was done, she had been advised by her doctor not to do the film,” Perry writes. “I said, ‘What? You know I want a doctor’s note, don’t you? LOL.”

Perry landed the talented actress Thandie Newton to replace Mariah.

Tyler says he doesn’t have any “inside info” as far as the pregnancy rumors, he’s in the dark with the rest of us:

“All I know,” he writes, “is that I’m waiting just like the rest of the world to find out what happened.”

All joking aside, he had nothing but kind words for Mariah and Nick:

“What I do know of [Carey] is that she is a professional and wouldn’t back out of a deal unless it was a major issue,” Perry writes. “So, whatever is going on, I wish her and Nick [Cannon] the best and she has all my love, prayers and support.”

If the baby rumors are true, hopefully they will share it with us soon. And if it wasn’t due to a pregnancy, I hope there’s nothing wrong with her health.

Renee Zellweger was spotted in West Hollywood today as she left the Kate Somerville skin care clinic.

The actress plugged in to her mp3 player and tuned out the paparazzi as she made her way to her car. I’ve heard some of the things they say and yell to try to get a reaction from celebrities, but Renee always seems to shut it out like a pro – and this maneuver helps, I’m sure.

I was really hoping that Renee would accompany Bradley Cooper on the red carpet for the ‘A-Team’ premiere, but it’s understandable that they want to keep things totally private.

Shakira was in Madrid today to present the new Mango solidarity T-Shirt collection inspired by the official World Cup song ‘Waka Waka’ (which means This Time For Africa).

I wonder if the controversy has died down over Shakira being chosen to sing the World Cup song? Many South Africans were upset that someone who isn’t South African was picked for it.

“Yeah, it has to be South African,” she said. “I mean, we’ve got so many talented South African singers who can actually pull it off. And really, I mean, how is Shakira going to sing the African part of it?”

But others insist that it’s the “WORLD” Cup and doesn’t belong just to South Africa. What do you think?

“I think what’s great about the fact that there are a lot of artists, it unites the world. The soccer World Cup is not just about South Africa, it’s about South Africa hosting it and bringing the world.”

The song is actually a collaboration between Shakira and a South African band called “Freshlyground”. They are scheduled to perform it on June 10th.

Kate Gosselin was all smiles this afternoon as she arrived to her hotel in New York City. She probably feels rejuvenated getting a night away from taking care of eight kids.

Kate was on the Today show this morning and must be doing other press appearances in the city to plug the return of her reality show, Kate Plus Eight.
