Taylor Lautner Won’t Go Shirtless ALL The Time
Posted on June 15, 2010 at 12:42 PM

‘Twilight’ star Taylor Lautner explained his attitude to GQ magazine about going shirtless to show off the 30 pounds of muscle he put on to keep his role as Jacob in ‘The Twilight Saga’ films ‘New Moon’ and ‘Eclipse.’ He may have worked hard for that six-pack, but that doesn’t mean he’ll go shirtless all the time.
For example, he refused to do so for his role in the romantic comedy ‘Valentine’s Day.’
“Originally I was supposed to take off my shirt,” he tells GQ. “The script said we were walking into school and Willy takes off his shirt. I said, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa. Time out. He’s gonna take off his shirt in the middle of school? No, no, no. The reason I took off my shirt for New Moon is because it’s written in the book that way. And there’s reasons behind it.”
High school boys go shirtless in school when on the track, don’t they? Oh well, I guess it’s good that Taylor (and the people around him, I’m sure) are trying to avoid making him a one-dimensional beefcake

No, even on the track that’d be breaking most school’s dress codes. Tee shirts and shorts (or sweats depending on the weather) are the generic wardrobe for any type of gym activity in school – including track.
