MTV showed a sneak peek of Katy Perry’s ‘California Gurls’ video at the movie awards the other night, but the full video is finally here.
What do you think? Looks like she consulted Willy Wonka for this one. LOL!

She always sounds a bit screechy to me, singing or talking. The song is okay, not fabulous. The candy-theme video could have been cute but she seems stiff and calculated and that ruins it for me.

Ummm. so the song is about Cali girls and the video is filled with.. a candy theme??? It’s a very cute theme and was done well.. but makes no sense in this video.
And im also sick of hearing about her and her one trick pony bf/husband/whatever.. Still wondering how much she paid or who she slept with to get the Maxim hottie.
Not sure what the video has to do with the song. The whip cream shooting from her boobs, reminds me of the Fem-bots in Austin Powers.
She’s screechy-sounding to my ears (not good!) — song is okay but the screechy voice is hard to listen to with any pleasure. The candy theme for the video is very cute but I don’t think she does it for me — she’s trying way too hard and just seems calculated.
