Johnny Depp teamed up once again with his ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ director Gore Verbinski for a different type of project. Instead of the high seas, he’s hitting the desert – as a chameleon. The plot is simply:

The story of a chameleon with an identity crisis

The movie features Abigail Breslin, Timothy Olyphant, Isla Fisher and Johnny’s ‘Pirates’ co-star, Bill Nighy.

We have a long wait for this one – it’s not due out until March. I’m sure Johnny’s kids will be excited to see (hear) their dad in a kids’ flick. What’d you think of the teaser trailer?

Actress Malin Akerman was spotted this afternoon in Beverly Hills as she was heading to lunch. I have to say it: I am in LOVE with Malin’s entire outfit. LOVE.

Malin’s movie “The Romantics” FINALLY has a release date of September 24th. It’s the one that we saw tons of on set shots of last fall with Katie Holmes, Anna Paquin and Josh Duhamel.

She also finished up a movie with Ryan Phillippe called “The Bang Bang Club” and is in preproduction for ‘Catch .44′ with Bruce Willis.

‘Sucker Punch’ actress Vanessa Hudgens shared with Glamour magazine about her anxieties, her life after High School Musical and the possibility of moving in with boyfriend Zac Efron.

“Before ‘High School Musical,’ I wanted to be a nitty-gritty actress. And ‘High School Musical’ came along, and I was like, ‘Oh my God, fun!’ But the more we did it, the more prude I became … When I am around kids and they come up to me, of course I am going to act a certain way, but at the end of the day, I’m doing this for myself. I’m going to be doing movies kids can’t watch.”

She shares her thoughts on moving in with long-time beau Zac:

“Nuh-uh. No. I mean, maybe … maybe house-hunting for houses on our own. I mean … which, I’m not. And he’s not, at the moment. So no. No. I just bought my house two years ago, and I adore it.”

Vanessa admits to having a great deal of anxiety, which might explain some of the photos from yesterday:

“When I was younger, I used to be super, super shy. I still find myself being scared of things. I want to try doing sportier things, kite surfing and paddle surfing — I think it would give me that extra confidence. Going to events gives me such anxiety. I get hot flashes! I can’t breathe, and I get claustrophobic. It’s a very odd business. I do it because I love acting, but I don’t know if I’ll ever get used to it.”

I can’t imagine anyone getting used to the crazy attention that comes with being an actor. I like that these two fly under the radar and don’t put their personal lives out there 24/7. Little snippits here and there is better than spilling every detail, right?

‘The Hills’ star Kristin Cavallari spoke this morning with On Air with Ryan Seacrest and admitted that there is truth to the rumor that she’s having an ‘off-screen’ romance with one of the crew. Kristin admitted to Ryan that she is dating cameraman Miguel Medina.

“That’s not part of the show,” Cavallari, 23, said when asked about Medina. “Yeah, I’m dating [Miguel] and that all I’m going to say about that.”

She explained “how” the hookup happened:

“Well, you’re together all the time, and it just sorta happens.”

‘The Hills’ is celebrating it’s 100th episode along with the series finale coming up in July. The show’s creator said most cast members will have closure:

“Everybody’s kind of coming at peace with their stories that we’ve been following along,” DiVello said of the finale. “A few of them definitely found happiness and what they were looking for.”

Now wouldn’t you think Kristin’s romance would make it on camera..it IS a reality show, right?

Leonardo DiCaprio’s new movie ‘Inception’ may look like a mind-bending psychological thriller, but he shares that it’s much simpler than it looks:

“At the end of the day, it’s about one man that’s assembling a team of people in the black market of the dream world. … He’s sort of lost in the dream-scape.”

In the film he plays a father and he shared that even though he isn’t a parent, it’s something he completely understands:

“I think that’s something that is instinctively innate in all of us,” he says of channeling his paternal character. “Caring for children and the love that a father would have for their own kids is something you can automatically understand.”

Emma Watson teamed up with her boyfriend, George Craig, to star in his new music video. The video for ‘Say You Don’t Want It’ by One Night Only features a bit of a “Lady and the Tramp” theme – it shows New York City through the eyes of a dog. (They appear human until the very end of the video). Emma was excited to be a part of the project:

I just really wanted to be involved somehow,” she told Britain’s Radio 1 about the video “We were really pleased with it.”
