Earlier this morning, INO reported that Marvel Studios released a pretty nasty statement regarding Edward Norton’s attitude and announced they are refusing to work with the actor. Well, Ed just released his own statement – and he took the high road.

“I am so appreciative of the outpouring of support from fans of the Hulk and The Avengers that I feel it would be rude not to respond,” his statement reads in part.

“So here goes: It seems it won’t work out for me to continue playing Bruce Banner for Marvel in The Avengers. I sincerely hoped it could happen and be great for everyone, but it hasn’t turned out as well as we hoped. I know this is disappointing to many people and that makes me sad. But I am very sincerely grateful to Marvel for extending the offer and even more so for giving me the chance to be a part of the Hulk’s long and excellent history.”

His statement is nice enough, but you have to wonder if Marvel is telling the truth about his ridiculous behavior. This isn’t the first time we heard that rumor. One movie after another produces claims that Ed is a nightmare to work with.

This is just like a Pantene commercial… expect Justin Long isn’t a hot model and he’s all sweaty and out of breath. Ok, so this is absolutely nothing like a Pantene commercial – I just like the way his hair is the main focus of the set and is all over the place.

Guess Justin likes to stay in shape the old school way – on the streets! Who needs a gym when you have open space and a pair of sneakers?
