Attorney Robert Shapiro officially signed on as Lindsay Lohan’s new lawyer today. He gave a statement to E! News:

“I have agreed to represent Ms. Lohan on the condition that she complies with all of the terms of her probation, including a requirement of jail time that was imposed by Judge Marsha Revel,” Robert Shapiro said in a statement to E! News.

Something I didn’t know about Atty. Shapiro – he lost a son back in 2005 to substance abuse. That is the reason why he opened up the sober living facility – the one where Lindsay is currently staying – and he also started a foundation in his son’s name to raise drug awareness.

“Ms. Lohan is suffering from a disease that I am all too familiar with. Hopefully, I can be of assistance to Ms. Lohan and Judge Revel in implementing a treatment approach recommended by medical professionals for Ms. Lohan’s long term recovery and sobriety.”

Does knowing about Atty. Shapiro’s son give you a little hope for Lindsay? Maybe he can help facilitate getting her healthy again? I wonder if Kim Kardashian had any influence in the situation since Shapiro was a colleague of her late father (they were part of O.J. Simpson’s defense team)?

Judge Revel still has to give the official OK for Lindsay to switch lawyers.

Just as the Kardashian sisters hit the city, Brooke Hogan is spotted on her way out. I’m a little surprised that Brooke wouldn’t hang around for Fashion Week!

Brooke has certainly been keeping a low profile lately – we hardly ever see her! She’s looking really good here, isn’t she? What do you think of her outfit?

She just finished filming a movie called “Devour” that is scheduled for release next year.

The girls are together to attend the Beach Bunny Fashion show tonight. Kim tweeted her excitement.

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson had quite a rocky break up – with all of the alleged glass throwing, face spitting, and ice tossing. Apparently the former couple are putting the bad breakup behind them Samantha has been showing her support for Lindsay since her probation hearing. A source explains to People magazine why Samantha is suddenly at Lindsay’s side again.

“Sam wanted to distance herself from Lindsay when they split up,” a source tells PEOPLE. “But Sam never stopped caring. She genuinely cares about Lindsay and just wants to see her get better.”

The source has that Samantha is sober and just wants to help Lindsay choose the right road:

“She gets it, she knows what Lindsay is going through and she knows she needs good people around her helping her down the right path,” the source says.

As Angelina Jolie continues her press tour for ‘Salt’ (which opens next Friday), she shared a bit of news that might leave some Brad Pitt fans utterly disappointed.

It appears that Brad almost made a tiny appearance in the movie:

He was almost going to be the motorcycle guy that I knocked down, and then he’d call me a bad name,”

Angelina said he wanted to do it, but family had to come first:

“But he was with the kids that day, and we couldn’t work it out.”

Now THAT would have been hysterical – if they could keep the clip under wraps. Those are the little “surprises” in movies that I love. It would be so random to see him when you aren’t expecting him and then especially to have him calling her a name – the woman he worships and adores! LOL!

“Reality” starlet Kristin Cavallari and her friends were spotted leaving ‘The Counter’, a burger bar in Hollywood, this afternoon.

I have to admit that I’m a wee bit curious to see which former ‘Hills’ cast members continue to thrive in Hollywood now that the show is over. I know that Kristin mentioned wanting to be a producer and we all know that Spencer Pratt will continue to ride on his crazy train. Audrina Patridge is reportedly doing another reality show and is the new “Bongo Jeans Girl”, but what about the rest? Do you think their stars will start to fade?
