Rachelle Lefevre has gone from taking lives as a ‘Twilight’ vampire to saving lives this fall on the new medical drama “Off the Map”. Rachelle will be playing Eva, a “hippie” doctor who works in the tropical region where the show will be based. The show is being produced by ‘Grey’s Anatomy’s’ Shonda Rhimes.

According to Deadline Hollywood, a little snippet about the show:

which is set at a understaffed, under-stocked medical clinic in South America founded by a top American surgeon (Martin Henderson).

Meryl Streep’s daughter, Marnie Gummer, is also reportedly joining the cast. Others already signed on are: Enrique Muriano, Jose Julian, Caroline Dhavernas, and Jason George.

Are you a fan of the medical shows? This one sounds different since it won’t be based in an actual hospital setting.

Jennifer Garner and Russell Brand had a good time today on the set of their upcoming movie ‘Arthur’. They filmed scenes in Central Park on horseback and looked like they were enjoying goofing around together.

Russell is apparently finding horseback riding a wee bit painful; he Tweeted:

Want to be smashed in the undercarriage by a muscley coward? Why not try horse riding.

He has shared some hilarious photos of himself in costume, as well.

Jessica Simpson is playing herself in a guest-star stint on ‘Entourage’. In the clip above, Ari (played by Jeremy Piven) comes to her door with a “peace offering” of a new puppy and dialogue ensues about Jessica losing her poor Daisy last year.

I can’t even imagine how the writers/producers came to her with this possible storyline. I would have been really worried that she’d be angry and hurt and totally offended! But Jessica tackled it like a true champ. I think she’s supposed to be doing a few episodes on the show, but I can’t find confirmation of that.

‘Hot in Cleveland’ star Valerie Bertinelli shared a few secrets about her upcoming wedding plans to Tom Vitale with People magazine. Valerie, who became engaged in May, says she’s not into having a big wedding:

“For me, it feels silly. I’m 50. It’s not about the wedding. I just want to have a marriage,”

They couple plan to keep things VERY small and intimate:

“We’re going to get married in Italy, just the two of us and a witness.”

And she has no intentions of wearing white on her special day:

“I’ll be wearing black!”
