Katie Holmes is currently out promoting her upcoming movie “The Romantics”, so it’s the perfect opportunity to ask her about husband Tom Cruise’s romantic side.

Katie shared a little private tidbit with Parade:

“My husband has red roses for me everywhere I go.”

Doesn’t Tom worry that if a delivery is delayed or doesn’t show up or something like that – that she’ll be thinking something’s wrong? That’s a lot to live up to – sending them everywhere she goes! It’s very sweet!

She also chatted about what drew her to this movie:

“I really loved the script when I read it. It felt a lot like The Big Chill and St. Elmo’s Fire and also a little bit of a John Hughes feeling, and I always loved those movies growing up.

She shared her respect for the other actors and actresses involved in the film:

“It was great to work with this wonderful cast and director. I was floored by the performances. These guys are such incredible actors. It was really inspiring every single day because you’d watch somebody else do a scene and you’d be like, ‘OK, wow. I didn’t know that was what it was about.’ They brought something so different and wonderful. It was such a great time, I think that’s why we all still hang out and we go to dinner often and we’re a tight-knit group.”

Are you looking forward to this movie? I’m excited about the huge, talented cast: Josh Duhamel, Anna Paquin, Elijah Wood, Malin Akerman, Candice Bergen, and Adam Brody. More importantly – how often does your significant other send you flowers?

Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical, Phineas and Ferb) and Aly Michalka (Band Slam, Phil of the Future) were in attendance at a private party thrown for them by Seventeen magazine. The two young women were there to celebrate the October cover of the magazine, and also to share their excitement about their upcoming TV show: “Hellcats”.

In the October issue Ashley shares how her list of qualities in a boyfriend has changed since high school:

“In high school, it was all about popularity, being with the boyfriend and all the girls thinking he’s cute. Now, I am more into a guy’s personality. I like someone I can have fun with and who can be more laid-back than I am, because it calms me down. At the same time, I want to be with someone who wants to work as much as I do and who respects me like I respect him.”

Aly is honest in admitting that she doesn’t have a boyfriend, but would love to have one:

” I’m not – I wish. I’m so ready to have boyfriend. I just need to find that guy who’s worthy of committing myself to, because I’m not your average girl. And I think a lot of guys are intimidated by girls who know what they want. I still live at home when I am in L.A., I’m really close to my family, I have a busy life and I’m super-close to my sister – so basically if you date me, you date her. And he’s either into it or he’s not.”

I love that they both sound very strong and firm about what they’re looking for in a guy. Don’t give in and stay picky.

“Hellcats” premieres on the CW this Thursday night. It’s a comedy/drama about the competitive world of college cheer leading. I put one of the promo clips under the jump if you’re curious.

Niecy Nash, former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant and host of “Clean House”, announced today that her boyfriend, Jay Tucker, popped the question! The couple shared their news at a small party with family and friends over the weekend:

“I cannot believe that God has been this kind that he would gift me this man,” “I love you so much.”

The couple are planning to wed next May. Niecy thinks that wedding planning will be the hard part:

“Falling in love was the easy part, planning a wedding — yikes!”

This will be her second marriage; she shares three children with her ex-husband, Don Nash.

Congratulations to them! Everyone will be expecting an impressive first couples dance after seeing Niecy show off her skills last season on DWTS!

She also shared some plastic surgery advice:

Tom Cruise enjoyed a morning in the park with all three of his kids. Connor, Isabella and Suri joined their dad at the Central Park playground in NYC for some playtime while Katie was making an appearance on one of the morning shows.

Ashlee Simpson is also in New York City today. The singer was spotted leaving her hotel this morning. I have to admit, I miss her red hair. Actually, I loved her as a blonde, too.
