First time director Angelina Jolie opened up about her new movie, the still untitled Bosnian love story set during the Bosnian War.

Angelina shared that she wants this to be a film for everyone to enjoy:

“The important thing is I want to make sure that we make a film for people who just want to go to the movies to watch a love story. To not be put off by anything that seems too heavy. We want to walk that fine line to make it accessible to everybody because it’s important for as many people to see it.”

Angelina actually shot it as two movies – one in English and one in their native language:

“We actually shot a full version in their native language and we shot a full version in English. We shot two complete films. I was only able to do it because the actors were so fluent in English so they were willing to work hard and do the scenes in two languages,”

She is considering converting it to black and white, but hasn’t made a final decision:

“It’s shot in color but it could transfer to black and white. We haven’t decided that. We put a series of pictures together in black and white and it was beautiful.”

I have to admit that I’m dying to see how this turns out. And it will be fun to hear what the actors have to say about her directing style when they do press for the movie. I know, they aren’t even finished filming yet and I’m already anticipating the press junket!

On being very proud of Justin Bieber winning Artist of the Year:

It was an out-of-body experience, I don’t cry that often, but I did.”

Usher says he’s happy to pass on all that he’s learned to Justin:

“This year is an indication of how hard we worked to make a career that will hopefully blossom throughout the years. I, as an artist, stand on the shoulder of giants like L.A. Reid and Jermaine Dupri. Everything that I am, I passed on [to Bieber]. Let what I do be an indication of what you should do, if in the position. Working hard and being artistic. We are artists, not just musicians.”

He gushes about recognizing Bieber’s incredible talent right away:

He had the talent, he could sing. As a musician at a very young age to be able to play the guitar, to play the keys, pick up a bass, pick up the [drum] sticks, I knew this kid was ultimately talented and I’d love to be able to be a part of shaping what he would become.”

It’s so great that Usher has passed down his knowledge of the business to Justin. Obviously Usher is financially rewarded, but still….

Jessica Simpson being pregnant can be the reason why she and Eric Johnson got engaged so quickly. I mean – it was only 6 months worth of dating! But I can come up with a dozen other reasons for such a rushed marriage.

Today’s Internet rumor has Jessica Simpson pregnant and expecting with Eric Johnson named the father. The country singer told us earlier that she cried for 5 minutes before actually putting on the ruby engagement ring that her fiance bought for her (or she bought for herself).

What do you think? Is Jessica expecting? It doesn’t help that she just pulled out of her CBS’ Early Show performance because she was sick. You know… sick in the morning. An early morning sickness. LOL!

David Arquette shocked the crowd last night at the WWE Survivor Series exhibition in Miami. David, who is a big fan, jumped up on the announcer’s table with two midgets dressed in tuxedos.

David has been Tweeting about his wild weekend in Florida – along with a lot of photos to document the partying.

Here he is this afternoon leaving the Fontainebleau in Miami. Perhaps his party weekend has come to an end and he’s heading home? I give David credit for being honest about wanting to live it up, though. At least he’s truthful about it, right?

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie celebrated National Adoption Day today by donating $150,000. The Jolie-Pitt Foundation made their contribution to the SOS Children’s Villages USA, “an organization that plays a pivotal role in providing loving, stable homes for foster children whose biological families are unable to properly tend to their needs.”

SOS Children’s Villages CEO shared in a statement:

I am truly thankful that Angelina and Brad understand the power of family – the kind of stable family that SOS holds as an essential part of healthy child development. Angelina and Brad know that children’s need for a family is universal.”

Kudos to them for the continued efforts to make the world a better place.

Aww, I also just realized that today Katherine Heigl’s daughter Naleigh is celebrating her 2nd birthday – on National Adoption Day. How sweet is that?

Last week we told you that Nicole Richie is rumored to be planning a December wedding and that Samantha Ronson was on the guest list. E! Online is now reporting that Samantha may not just be a guest, but is one of Nicole’s bridesmaids!

E! also claims that Harlow is confirmed as the flower girl. However, rumors of Christina Aguilera performing aren’t true. The singer will be busy overseas promoting ‘Burlesque‘.

Does Samantha surprise you as one of the members of the bridal party? I didn’t realize these two were quite that close.

I really hope these wedding rumors are true – and that we get a peek at the dresses, etc!
