Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian hit The Grove this afternoon to be interviewed by Mario Lopez. The sisters are celebrating today – their new book, “Kardashian Konfidential”, debuted at #4 on the NY Times Best Seller list! Kim and Khloe are still silent on Twitter, though, as they (along with the other celebs participating) are only about 10% of the way to hitting the $1 million mark for Alicia Keys’ Keep a Child Alive foundation. I wonder how long until celebrities just start tossing their own money in the hat so they can get back to Tweeting? They must be going crazy!

Yesterday Star magazine ignited a media frenzy after alleging that Jason Trawick was being abusive to Britney Spears. Britney’s team denies the story and even threatened legal action. Today Star released a statement defending their story as absolutely true.

“Star magazine stands by its story that Britney Spears told her ex-husband, Jason Alexander, that her boyfriend, Jason Trawick, beat her. In a taped phone conversation lasting for more than one hour, Ms. Spears can be heard repeatedly telling Mr. Alexander how Mr. Trawick “went crazy” and hit her, giving her a black eye.”

“Mr. Alexander passed a polygraph test administered by Star, where he was specifically asked, ‘Did you record a phone conversation that you had with Britney Spears?’ Moreover, there is information in the tape, which Star may reveal at a later date, that would be known only by Ms. Spears.”

I’m waiting to see if Jason comes forward with anything to say about this mess. What do you think? I know it’s hard to tell a person by only what they show the public, but I just can’t see it. I hope this turns out to be false.

Fergie and husband Josh Duhamel are together in New York City this week. The celebrity couple has been spotted all around NYC this week. I wonder if they are both on a break from work for the holidays?

Maybe they’ll get working on that baby since they have a bit of time together? Wishful thinking!

What do you think of Fergie’s coat choice here? She can pull off so many different looks and styles and still look amazing.

Heidi Montag has taken up martial arts, and not for exercise or fun, but because she cannot afford bodyguards any longer. She tells RadarOnline:

“I can’t afford security, so I practice self defense and chain punching. I have spent millions in security in the last 4 years because I had to take care of the cost all on my own. It’s crazy and it’s hard, but life is not always fair.

She says the lack of money has changed her lifestyle drastically:

“I have had to change my life. I can’t afford to go out to the clubs anymore because the sort of protection I need can cost anywhere from 5 to 10 thousand dollars a night…when you travel it’s even worst, because you need to cover the guards travel, food lodging, etc., and pay them. That is actually where all my money went because safety is number one.”

ALL her money went to security? Sounds fishy.

She does enjoy the confidence that martial arts is giving her:

“It gives me a confidence I didn’t have before,” she added. “I am doing this self defense because it gives me inner strength, and I feel safe in my home. It’s a deterrent, but I know I can’t do what the body guards do.”

“It is scary to be out there without protection, people do follow me and you can never be to careful. It’s overwhelming, and it’s most difficult when I’m in large groups of people. I’m not ready to go out alone yet…I’m only 5ft 2inches tall and have a small frame so I understand I can’t completely do it alone. Which is why I don’t go out as much anymore. Half the reason I am laying low and staying to myself is because I don’t have that security like I used too, and you never can predict what will happen.”

I’m not sure what her angle is with this interview. I’m always skeptical of anything Heidi or Spencer share with the media anymore.

Sarah Jessica Parker graces the cover of ELLE magazine’s January issue. In it she dishes on aging, accepting her position at Halston, and meeting her babies for the first time.

On aging naturally:

“I don’t know what I can do about the aging. Yes, I am aging. Oh my God, I’m aging all the time. It’s like those flowers that wilt in front of you in time-lapse films. But what can I possibly do? Look like a lunatic?”

On meeting her twin daughters after their birth:

“[Meeting them] is hard to describe. Everything is suspended. I can’t even tell you what other sounds were in the room. I loved them immediately, but everything—their size, the shape of their heads, the color of their hair, their noses, their eyes—was new to me. They looked surprisingly different from James Wilkie, which I wasn’t expecting.”

Sarah shares her reaction to being offered the position of President and Chief Creative Officer at Halston and Halston Heritage:

“I kept saying, ‘You understand, by offering this you are going to be criticized?’ It took me a long time to say yes.”

She takes the role very seriously and made sure they understood that:

“I said, ‘Please know this now: I will never do this for a title. I will never dip in and out of this. I’ll do it like everything else I’ve ever done. I’ll be involved down to the splitting of the atom.’”

On her daughter Tabitha’s style:

“She’s crazy for bows; she wants her head covered in them.”
