Aretha Franklin gave her first post-surgery interview to JET magazine, where she shares that she’s feeling great. The singer underwent surgery and it’s speculated that she is battling pancreatic cancer, but she hasn’t confirmed or denied that yet.

“I feel great. The doctors say I can do whatever I feel like I am up to do. Of course, that doesn’t mean any concerts or anything like that. But I can do things around the house, and today I am just piddling around the house.”

Aretha says she’s not ready to share what’s going on with her health just yet, but she will soon:

“I am putting Aretha together first,” she adds. “I will talk more later.”

The singer is going to take it easy as much as she can – doctors have ordered her to recuperate for 8 weeks, but she’s squeezing in some business, too:

“I also might make one or two business calls,” she says. “Not too much, just a teeny bit … God has given me the greatest gift already for the holidays. I am so grateful.”

We wish her a speedy recovery!

It looks like maybe a pap upset Halle Berry today while she was doing some shopping with Nahla. She looks pretty angry, like maybe she was yelling at one of them? Ugh. That’s so hard on the little ones, I’m sure.

Shenae Grimes was spotted filming her new movie ‘Sugar‘ in Los Angeles. Shenae is playing the role of a homeless teenager in it.

Rumor has it (according to the National Enquirer, so consider the source) that Natalie Portman is all kinds of jealous over the acclaim that Mila Kunis is receiving for her role in ‘Black Swan‘. A source says:

This was supposed to be Natalie’s BIG role, so she’s totally upset that Mila is getting so much praise,”

Natalie’s confident about her performance, but she clearly didn’t expect Mila to be getting so much Oscar talk.”

They’re even comparing the situation to when Beyonce was thought to be “the” big performance of ‘Dreamgirls‘ and Jennifer Hudson wound up stealing the show:

“Natalie knows that the Best Actress category is more competitive and Supporting Actress honors usually go to an unexpected newcomer – like Mila,” said the source. “It’s like when Jennifer Hudson stole every single scene from Beyonce in Dreamgirls. And look what happened there – Jennifer walked away with the Academy Award!”

What do you think? Is the media just TRYING to drum up a diva fight? I don’t see either of them as the type to care about awards and whatnot, just doing their job. Fact or fiction?

‘Tron: Legacy‘ stars Olivia Wilde and Garrett Hedlund grace the covers of Women’s Health and Men’s Health and opened up with magazine about their roles in the film.

Olivia:

On getting into shape:

“For Tron I worked with a personal trainer, so I did about an hour of cardio five or six days a week, weight training three times a week, mixed martial arts/fighting three times a week, and that’s a lot more than my normal [routine]!”

On her character Quorra:

“The great thing about playing a strong female character is that I feel like I’ve created someone for little girls to look up to.”

Olivia shares that she met George Clooney years ago with her parents (who are contributing editors at Vanity Fair) and he remembered her years later:

“There were hundreds of people trying to get close to him but he saw me through the crowd, pushed all these women out of the way and said, ‘Olivia! Are you a movie star yet?’”

Garrett:

On personal body confidence:

“You might think the thinner version of yourself is going to be the most positive or confident, but that’s not how it is for me. When I’m over 200 pounds, that’s what I’m the most confident version of myself.”

On his skin tight body suit:

“They do a body scan so they can formulate the suit around you. It’s three-quarters of an inch of foam rubber that fits you like a glove. If you have a belly your scan’s going to have a belly.”

Reality star Brad Womack famously turned down BOTH “finalists” on ‘The Bachelor‘ in 2007′s season 11, leaving both women, DeAnna Pappas and Jenni Croft, distraught – and fans pretty unhappy. Some were a little upset to find that he was going to be given another shot at finding love on the reality series. The show has already been shot and finished, but doesn’t air until January.

However, Brad shares that fans can rest easy – allowing him another chance to find love worked out:

“I can promise you there is a very happy ending,”
“I did find somebody, I did fall in love. So for viewers who wanted to see that, it happened, a true love story happened. I’m very much in love. I’m a happy guy.”

He shared that this time around was a little different for him:

“I was so much more open to the process…It was just so much more fun…I don’t know. The women were so much more engaging.”

“There were some really, really good women, and we had a great time.”

I’m sure the network would not be very happy if he had turned down both women AGAIN. Are you still watching the show? I can’t believe how many seasons it’s been going for! It’s obviously still very popular!
