It’s been reported that Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer was going to attempt to make a plea bargain in the jewelry theft case so that Lindsay could try to bargain for no jail time, but it seems the D.A. wants her to sit in jail. A source tells Radar Online:

Meyers is standing her ground and saying that any deal for Lindsay include jail time. This is a felony charge, and Lindsay has a criminal record. Meyers won’t back down on this. Both sides are now at an impasse.”

Lindsay would be put on felony probation, and under those terms, Lindsay can be sentenced to up to one year in LA County Jail. With jail overcrowding, Lindsay would only serve 25% of the sentence.”

This case is getting a little nuts (big surprise) – TMZ pointed out that the jewelry store owner changed stories a few times and that might wind up helping Lindsay in the long run. First the store owner said that Lindsay put the necklace in her purse, but when the police saw the surveillance tape, that’s not how it went down. Then the owner said that she had been in 3 times looking at the necklace in question, but it was actually a ring that she kept coming in to look at and couldn’t make up her mind on whether or not to buy it.

Do you think the D.A. is out to make an example of Lindsay? I don’t know what to think – it’s always SOMETHING with her, ya know? I don’t know if it’s her fault 100% of the time, but geez…I’d be moving somewhere and just flying under the radar for a while. It’s just too much drama!

Madonna landed at London’s Heathrow airport this afternoon all bundled up in black fur-trimmed gear. The Material Mom must be planning on staying at home in the UK for quite some time judging by the amount of luggage she brought with her! (see photo gallery)

I wonder what Madonna thinks about the fuss over Lady Gaga’s new song “Born This Way” sounding like her “Express Yourself” tune? Maybe she was in the air and doesn’t know about the comparisons yet?

Do you remember back in 2004 when Mario Lopez and Ali Landry got married and then had the marriage annulled just two weeks later? Mario is opening up about the wild bachelor weekend where he cheated and about not being mature enough to be married.

“I said I was going to Cabo…to go marlin fishing. Then my cousin surprised me and said ‘No, …we’re going on this whirlwind tour: Cabo, Acapulco, all these places.’ I figured at that point it was easier to ask for forgiveness [afterward]. It’s my bachelor party, we were going to have a good time. And we went, we had a good time.”

A picture shot of Mario in a pool with another woman was discovered by Ali’s sister:

“We’re partying, and somebody took a picture. I was wrong for obviously lying, and I shouldn’t have been in that position.

Mario admits he wasn’t ready to settle down, but didn’t man up about it until after the wedding:

“I dealt with all this drama, and then at that point just realize…I finally got the balls to say ‘Hey, listen I’m not ready for this, I’m sorry.’”

“I think when you go out for a few years you either take it to another level or you break up, right? There was nothing glaringly wrong on paper: I thought, ‘She’s beautiful, she’s a good girl, she comes from a great family, she’d make a great mom…I confused cold feet with not being ready.”

I’m not quite understanding why he’s talking about this SEVEN years later?? I mean, they both have families now and are obviously doing well, why drudge up the past? Maybe he’s just trying to show how much he’s grown since then?

I know people have had their doubts about a “remake” of this movie, but here’s our first glimpse at Russell Brand as “Arthur” and it looks promising! The bedroom scene with Jennifer Garner is hysterical!

We’ve seen so many shots of them filming and Helen Mirren has gushed about how much she adores Russell after working with him on this movie, so I’m excited to finally see it this spring!

The Black Eyed Peas hosted their 7th annual PEAPOD benefit with Bacardi last night at The Music Box in Hollywood, and it certainly drew quite a variety of celebrities!

David Arquette, who recently left rehab, was there looking pretty good! Joe Jonas, MC Hammer, Whitney Port and Ciara (wearing a very ‘interesting’ dress) were all also there.

Looks like a fun night!
