Heidi Montag Is Not Joining Celebrity Rehab

There’s been so much talk of all these The Hills stars landing new reality shows. Heidi Montag was supposedly about to join the next cast of Celebrity Rehab. However, the reality star denies any truth to that rumor. She issued a statement to People,

“No, I’m not joining the cast.”

“It sounds it sounds like a great cast and I can’t wait to watch this season!”

That’s too bad. I think Heidi would’ve made an entertaining addition to the show. As of right now Michael Lohan is on board. That might actually scare viewers away! He really hasn’t had much good publicity lately. But maybe the show will turn things around for him.

Mike Huckabee Defends His Comments About Natalie Portman

In case you missed it, Mike Huckabee, a politician, criticized recent Oscar winner, Natalie Portman for giving a skewed image of what being a single mom really is. He said,

“People see a Natalie Portman who boasts, ‘We’re not married but we’re having these children and they’re doing just fine. I think it gives a distorted image. It’s unfortunate that we glorify and glamorize the idea of out-of- wedlock children.”

“Most single moms are very poor, uneducated, can’t get a job, and if it weren’t for government assistance, their kids would be starving to death and never have health care. And that’s the story that we’re not seeing.”

The blogosphere has been blowing up about his comments and he’s been forced to defend himself. Mike told UsMagazine,

“These people should read my book and they would know what I said instead of what some left-wing partisans are attempting to put forth. I do appreciate the attention to the book as it is sparking interest in it dramatically.”

And he clarified his comments on his blog,

Natalie is an extraordinary actor, very deserving of her recent Oscar and I am glad she will marry her baby’s father. However, contrary to what the Hollywood media reported, I did not “slam” or “attack” Natalie Portman, nor did I criticize the hardworking single mothers in our country.

What do you think? Does Mike have a good point, or is he being extremist? I take offense to his comments. I know plenty of single mothers that are not poor and uneducated, and their kids most certainly aren’t starving to death.

LAX was a busy little celebrity hotspot yesterday. The paparazzi camped out and were able to catch a few shots of Kate Beckinsale, Vanessa Hudgens and Ryan Cabrera. I’m sure Vanessa is heading off somewhere to continue promoting Beastly. Seems like that’s all she’s doing these days!

Oh Ryan Cabrera and THAT HAIR. It’s practically iconic.

All three were spotted going through security. And none of them looked particularly happy to be seen by photographers. I wouldn’t want to be photographed traveling either. I’m sure all it does is add to the stress.
