Lady Gaga Raises $250,000 In 2 Days For Japan’s Tsunami Victims

Go Gaga Go! The bracelets that Lady Gaga designed to help the victims of Japan’s tsunami have already raised $250,000!
She shared with her fans:
Monsters: in just 48 hrs you’ve raised a quarter of a million dollars for Japan Relief. It’s important we help. X”
Do you think that there will be telethons, etc. to raise money for Japan? I read an article that said the aid amounts are way down compared to the Haiti relief efforts because Japan isn’t a third world country. ??? We aren’t a third world country, but other countries still helped us after Hurricane Katrina, ya know?

I really doubt that’s the only reason. So many bad natural disasters have happened in the past the couple years. Maybe people are just so emotionally spent to keep giving.
She should put her money where her mouth is. She could give her own money for the Tsunami victims, and really make a difference! She could give 1/2 of 1% of her wealth and it wouldn’t be a drop in the bucket for her.
I will not be heaping praise on Lady Gaga for getting OTHER people to give money to help the Japanese. So selfless, so generous, so wonderful…..NOT! There are many many people in our country who are barely making ends meet, and some have lost their jobs in this rough economy–many can’t find jobs even thought they want to work.
