Whoopi Goldberg And Donald Trump Get Into Heated Argument On ‘The View’ (VIDEO)

Wow, I didn’t happen to catch The View yesterday, but apparently there was quite the exchange between show host Whoopi Goldberg and guest Donald Trump. Trump decided to raise the issue of President Obama’s birth certificate raising the ire of Goldberg and fellow host Barbara Walters. According to the Huffington Post this is how the conversation went down;
”Why doesn’t he show his birth certificate?” Trump said.
“Why should he have to?” Whoopi cut in.
“Because I have to and everybody else has to, Whoopi,” Trump said. He continued that he believed Obama has a birth certificate, but that he should show it to clear the “pall” hanging over him. Then, he said that it was odd that “nobody from [Obama's] early years remembers him,” and that there was “something on that birth certificate that he doesn’t like.”
Whoopi went on to reply;
“That’s a terrible thing to say,”
“oh my God…that’s the biggest pile of dog mess I’ve heard in ages. It’s not ’cause he’s black, is it?”
“Because I’ve never hear any white president being asked to show his birth certificate. When you become the president of the United States of America, you know that he’s American. I’m sorry. That’s just B.S.”

I wouldn’t so much call that heated. I call that Whoopi being irritated at a conspiracy theorist. It’s the same tone you would hear someone use at someone else who believes in little green aliens.
I am sometimes truly amazed at how stupid people can be, even grown adults. What’s going on with our society’s intelligence when loudmouthed ignorants are going around spreading conspiracy theories that the President of THE UNITED STATES isn’t American?? I don’t specifically care that Trump is that stupid, because he’s not the only one (even, God save us, some of our own legislators agree with him), but it does bother me that Trump, being as stupid as he is, holds such a public platform to spread the moronness. Come on, people. Come on.
I’m sorry guys, but our law states that in order to run for President of the United States of America you must be born in this country. There are many reasons people would like for Mr. Obama to prove that he was in fact born in the USA, but not one of them, not for me anyway are because he is black. That may be the man reason he was voted for, but it has nothing to do with why he should have to prove he was born here. Questions were raised and he owes the American people the answers.

I agree with you. The people have a right to know, since it is part of the law, and the president or candidate has the responsibility to show proof.
he should have shown his birth certificate because there is controversy over it. If any president had controversy over it, they should show it. This is not a race issue. This is about earning trust. I don’t understand why he wouldn’t squelch rumors over something so small that would have gone a long ways in creating trust and unity. It seems like a very small thing to ask, producing a paper that I have to produce to get a job. Because it is such a small thing thats why people wonder if he is hiding something, imho.

I’m not a birther, and I DO think the President Obama was born in the US… but the whole indignant attitude of “Why should he have to?” thing makes me crazy. If, at the very beginning (although from what I understand, the issue HAS been actually dealt with, it has been shown and proven) he had just shown the dratted thing it would have been an issue that died in the water that instant. But to instead just have people become hysterical and try to make it a race thing? Feeds the fire. And to say “He shouldn’t have to” is stupid. Everyone, at some point, has had to. To get your driver’s license. To get your passport. To get your wedding license. You have to show it (just like you have to rattle your social security number off a couple dozen times a day in school) in today’s life – so just show it and let folks move ON.
President Obama’s biggest obstacles are his most fervent supporters. He isn’t a god, he isn’t a devil. He’s a man doing the best job he can (sometimes succeeding, sometimes falling short – humans kinda are KNOWN for that) but when you get people raving about how perfect someone is, and how anyone who argues with it is a racist evil conspirator – you cut the man off at the knees and don’t let him get the job done because his own folks are acting like nits.
It would be nice if you could make this video available to all countries to view.
I’ve seen his Obama’s birth certificate but I’ve never seen any other presidents that came before him because it was never an issue. President Obama also has written two best selling books that speak of his life and there are many pictures of him as a amall child in those books. You say that you have to show a birth certificate when you get a lincense, get married, apply for a passport. I’m sure he has a driver’s lincense, we know he is married and he has traveled to other countries even before he became president. All the idiot’s including Trump can’t seem to come to any logical conclusion on this issue because it does have to do with race and those who say it doesn’t are liars.
I don’t even care about his birth certificate anymore. What I find amazing is how you can call a show “THE VIEW” when they rarely tolerate someone else’s view.
John McCain was born in Panama and no one seems to care about that.
Let me just say that Trump may just be “rattling the Birthers cages”, he can run or he may have grown accustomed to media attention this non-issue would create.
Our current President travelled under a USA passport long before he was elected President, but I guess the quacky BIRTHERS, must believe that the USCIS – United States Passport was in on the lie, please, grow up, you are wrong!
