Forbes Names Lady Gaga ‘Most Powerful Celebrity’; Full Top 20 Power List

Lady Gaga has been declared the world’s Most Powerful Celebrity by Forbes magazine. A few things that helped land her the honor: $90 million in earnings accrued over the past 12 months and her millions of fans on social networking sites.
In a statement from the magazine:
“Lady Gaga tops our power list not just because of her $90 million in earnings, but also because of her 32 million Facebook fans and 10 million Twitter followers. Those fans helped move 1 million copies of her hit single, ‘Born This Way’, in just five days.”
The magazine also noted that Justin Bieber owes much of his power status to the internet:
“If this were 10 years ago Bieber would still be paying his dues in small clubs and schools, but thanks to the Internet, he’s a sensation. His first hit song, ‘Baby’, has been viewed 500 million times, a YouTube record.”

I’m surprised Kim Kardashian didn’t make the list.

I am surprised by a lot of those names! Yeah, I agree Kim Kardashian you think would be somewhere on there. Maybe not near the top but at least on the list.
Also I’m actually surprised Justin Bieber was so high up. I know a LOT of little kids like him but young adults and I’m sure older people aren’t as fond of him.
Makers me wonder why in the world Britney should be on the list.. I’d be saddened if she was.
Justin Bieber?!? Really? Why is Simon Cowell not higher up on the list? He’s pretty much unstoppable when it comes to creating successful hit shows/careers. Lady GaGa as #1? Come on now! She’s influential, yes – but she either purchased the title of #1 or she has “friends” over at Forbes.
this is terrible.. beyonce definatly should have been in the list and eminem. a lot better than most of the people who are already on it. haha who ever writes these lists must be getting payed off the celebs to rank them higher.
