British singing sensation Lily Allen has had one busy year so far. Besides marrying Sam Cooper just last month, the 26-year-old is not only enjoying newlywed bliss, but a pregnancy glow. After miscarrying her first child, Lily opens up to Elle UK about how hubby Sam helped her find happiness once again.

“I was deeply unhappy most of the time,” said Lily dishing on her wild-child ways. “I wasn’t eating then, you know, [I was] going out at night.”

Bordering on a lifestyle only Amy Winehouse would approve of, it wasn’t until Sam came into her life that she realized she needed a change.

“And then by four o’clock I would have had four glasses [of wine]. Its not the way to be. But then I met Sam and he noticed that behavior.”

Though changing her hard partying habits must have been hard on the songstress, who had already suffered the trauma of losing a baby, Lily admits that it was Sam’s secure nature that allowed her to ditch the booze.

“It was like ‘Ok, I an stuff all of that if you look after me…’”

Although the newest member of the Cooper clan is still on its way, this newlywed is tending to all the preparations, including perfecting her newest signature.

“I practiced my signature within an hour of him proposing,” said Lily. “I’ve already got our Smythson stationery ordered — I’m so excited about being Mrs. Cooper.”
